Hello sandrah92, From what you are describing it sounds like you have a broken LCD screen. In most cases screens are repairable, but they are not generally covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. You might try contacting the manufacturer (RCA) at the phone number or web address listed in the User’s Manual and they may be able to give you a general idea of how much such a repair would cost and the procedure to follow for service.Alternatively you may be able to obtain repair services through a local electronics retailer, such as Best Buy™. Hi I can see the icons for music, radio,
microphone etc. but there is not text to read what is going on. When I
hook it up to the computer, there is not text on the mp3
player, only a white screen. I would like to format the player, but it
does not show up in "My Computer" I tried removing the battery for
hours, someone suggested that hold the menu button down for 30 seconds
but it still does not work. Any thoughts? Thanks
if the player will still play music but nothing shows on the screen, then the display is shot. The screen is not replaceable on these players. sorry, but it's most likely junk now. You could use it as a data storage device still. Best bet is to buy a used player off ebay or amazon.
