Where to find a speaker replacement for InMotion IM600
Need a speaker (2" driver) replacement for InMotion IM600. My left one is blown. Right works fine. I have the left one out and can't find anything like this in electronic stores. Speaker is labled: Altec Lansing L02-006A-08-B. I tried calling Altec Lansing but they claimed they don't have these kinds of parts for the IM600.

That is a tough one. Is your iPod fully seated -- will it play music in the im600? Have you tried a different iPod in the im600 to see if it charges? Does your iPod recharge normally in other players, in a wall charger and your computer? If not, your iPod could possibly need a new battery.
Also: since it was unplugged for 3 weeks, you may just need to run the im600 through a full cycle or two (let the FM radio play until the battery is dead, with no iPod in it), then recharge the im600 for 5 or 6 hours, and THEN mount your iPod into it and see if it charges it. Be sure to unplug/plug-in the adapter into the im600 to ensure it is getting full power from the wall outlet. One last thing: the im600 will only charge the iPod when it is plugged into AC power; it won't charge the iPod while it's running on its own battery power. Good luck!
I had the same issue and read here that you may want to try unplugging your battery cable and plugging it back in. First, power down and unplug the im600. Then get a 00 Philips screwdriver and unscrew the two screws that are in the back of the unit (where the remote rests). Gently pull off the cover and you'll see a cylindrical battery with a connector coming from it. Unplug that connector, leave it unplugged about a minute or so, then plug it back in. I am trying this myself right now so I can't confirm that it works yet.
If you find that your battery is dead, and will not recharge, go to AltecLansing.com and contact their customer service. They will instruct you how to obtain a replacement battery.

The battery is probably dead, as it's rated for 400 cycles.
When you have the dock's feet out, you can see 2 tiny screws on the back of the unit, unscrew them, remove the hatch and you'll have your battery exposed.

My IM600 did the same thing to me, here my solution: 1) Turn offand disconnect power cord 2) Take battery out (2 small screws on the back) 3) Disconnect battery 4) Short circuit all 3 battery terminals (with this you make sure battery is not in a latency/histeresis state) 5) Leave open and disconnected for a couple of hours 6) Assemble all back 7) Turn it on and it works 8) If it doesn't replace battery
