Are you able to connect to any websites? If so you should have no problem going to microsoft.com. If you do you may need to go into CMD and try pinging and ipconfig /release and /renew

Hello,
before you install the software,make sure you don't insert the Life Cam into your system yet. It is after you have installed the software on your computer that you can then fix the Life Cam.
So, restart your system, wait for the system to boot, after then, install the software of your Life cam on your computer. After the software installation, you can then fix your Life cam into your computer and it will install the Life cam since the software has been installed and that's all.
So try it again and let's see what happens next.

Place the product installation CD in the CD drive of your computer. The installation wizard will start automatically. Follow the installation wizard prompts.
Plug the USB connector at the end of the LifeCam VX-1000 connection cable into an available USB port on your computer when prompted.
Place the LifeCam VX-1000 on a flat, level surface, or hang it from your computer's monitor. Continue following the wizard prompts until the installation wizard finishes.
Click the "Start" button, then click "All Programs" on the Start menu.
Click the "Microsoft LifeCam" folder icon in the list of programs on the Start menu, then click the "LifeCam" icon. That opens the LifeCam VX 1000 software and completes the installation process.

I downloaded the driver and I'm still getting the same message when I go to install "Setup cannot continue because you are not connected to the internet or the server is unavailable. Connect to the internet and then run Setup again. During the Set up process, accept any related security or firewall messages. If this is unsuccessful, please try again later."
I keep getting the same problem even with the new driver.
Solution 2 didn't work either. Every time I try to download it, it says "Internet Explorer cannot connect with microsoft.com/download". I tried using another browser but it still wont let me connect to microsoft, which I think is why I can't install my software from the start.
Alright, alright, these solutions are starting to go the wrong way here haha. Let me explain my -problem- a little more clearly here. For some odd reason I cannot connect to the microsoft website, and for me to install the software or use the drivers I need to be able to connect. It's not just this, I couldn't even download Internet Explorer off the microsoft website because it wouldn't allow me to connect. I had to go rip it off some other website.
Btw Solution 3 didn't work either, I tried several times. But thanks for trying =)
I tried solution 4 the other day. I disabled my firewall and my pop blocker but I stll can't connect to microsoft servers. I need more ideas!
