There is a little button on the back, marked 'info'. Press it to switch from picture view to settings view. It also operates the viewfinder.
Olympus also has a good photo editing program that is free and it allows you to edit photos and stitch pictures taken pn panoramic mode into one panoramic picture. It's called Olympus Master.
1a) The pictures are in a folder unknown to the camera. This could be due to the folder name, or its position in the folder structure.

2a) The pictures were taken by a different camera. Many cameras will not display pictures that were taken by a different camera.
2b) The pictures have been edited on a computer. Many cameras will not display altered pictures.
Unless you have very strong reasons for keeping some pictures on the card, you should have the camera format the card after you download the pictures to a computer. Formatting wipes out all information on the card, preparing it afresh for further use. Failure to format the card periodically can lead to future problems.
If you need to keep some pictures on the card, format the card in the camera, then use a card reader to put the pictures back onto the card.
Strangely my C-765 has changed and takes picture on P and download to PC on green arrow before did both on green arrow, maybe others are having the same experience?
Reset the menus to default or factory settings. Then test the camera again. Make sure that the battery is fully charged or new. You might consider to buy a new battery (Ebay is a good place) for this camera. Then test. Problems like this can show up when the battery is weak or not fully charged. You may try to remove the battery for 24 hours and then after try it again.
Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Ok button - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Card tab - right arrow to card setup - right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the picture error message and the cards can be used again.
Your images in Olympus Master by default are stored on your C drive in the following directory path: C:\Documents and Settings\folder with your user name\Application Data\Olympus\Olympus Master\Store\then folders with long strings of numbers will display. This is every time you have downloaded images to your computer. The first 8 digits of the file folder are the year, month and date that the images were downloaded. If you do not see Application Data folder: Once in your user name folder, at the top of the window left click Tools then left click Folder Options. Left click the View tab. On this tab you will see where it says Files and Folders. Scroll down until you see something that says Hidden files and folders and more than likely it is selected to Do not show. Please click Show hidden files and then please click Ok. You should now see Application Data folder and be able to proceed as previously indicated.
Once you took pictures without a memory card, all pictures taken will automatically be saved on the INTERNAL MEMORY of the camera.
When taking pictures with a memory card, all pictures are just saved on the memory card itself.
If you are seeing 100-757 on the LCD screen. It means that there are already 757 pictures taken from the first time you've used the camera.
It is possible that some of the pictures are in the internal memory and some are in the memory card.
STEPS to DOUBLE CHECK:
1) Remove memory card out of the camera - Turn on camera - View pictures on the internal memory by just pressing on the PLAY mode button
(lowest of the 3 little buttons) - Pictures seen are just the ones saved on the internal memory
2) Return memory card back in the camera - Turn on camera - View pictures on the internal memory by just pressing on the PLAY mode button (
lowest of the 3 little buttons) - Pictures seen are just the ones saved on the memory card itself
*** If you want to transfer pictures on the internal memory of the camera to your MEMORY CARD, you just have to follow the steps below:
- Make sure there is a memory card inside the camera - Turn on camera - Press on PLAY mode button to view pictures - Press MENU/OK button - Keep scrolling to the right until you see COPY TO CARD - Select YES using the arrow keys - Press MENU/OK to confirm * When you've done these steps, all pictures from the INTERNAL MEMORY of the camera will be copied to your MEMORY CARD but it depends on the space left on your memory card
** If still, you could not view the pictures, it's possible that the pictures are really gone when you have transferred the previous pictures to your computer.
** Once you have transferred pictures to your PC, and you have deleted those on your camera, the FILE NAME of the pictures will not start from 100-001 again unless you have reset the file name on the settings of your camera.
In example, i already have 256 pictures on my camera so the filename reads 100-256 for the last picture taken. And then i decided to transfer those 256 pictures to my PC and i deleted those immediately after being transferred. So, as i took another picture, FILENAME will start with 100-257 if i have not reset the FILE NAME settings to 100-001.
