I have a Bosch WTL5410 dryer, which has no heat going to the otherwise functioning tumbler. Do you know where I could purchase another heating element and where I can get instructions regarding the installation of it? Also, are there any other possible causes that you can think of...maybe a fuse? Thanks.

CONSIDER THIS
BOTH LEGS OF AC MUST WORK TO GET HEAT FOR DRYER
Maybe you don''t have power to both legs of your receptacle. Both legs of the 220 volt AC have to work go get heat. Only one leg is used to run the motor etc.. Your motor runs so this can fool you into believing that the electrical connection is ok when it really is not. Your dryer is on a double circuit with two breakers. If one fails you lose one 110 volt leg which can be the one giving the full 220 Volt needed for the heater. This happens quite frequently and people mistakenly replace heating coils. You could have a bad breaker, one of the two. You must check this first before assuming anything else. Get help if you are uncomfortable with potentially deadly voltages

Breaker popped, so went and turned it back on. Now there is no heat. What could be the problem?

In your dryer behind the tumbler there are coils with insulators. up against the dryer wall their should be many holes that allow the heat to come into the tumbler. run your dryer about 3 minutes with settings on heat , then open the door and peer thru to the back while the tumbler is spinning. if you don't see part or full radiat heat. the heating coils will have to be replaced. you can purchase them from most appliance parts store. just make sure you provide the brand and model # and possibly the ser#. good luck!

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

Hello, Welcome to Fixya. Based on what you've described I don't think anything is wrong with your Bosch dryer ( provided the model number is correct ). If the dryer has an l.e.d. Indicator labelled "check lint" this is simply a reminder to check it before proceeding. Believe it or not I have clients who have used their dryer for years and never noticed this indicator or "reminder" ever before...so I get it ;o) So If the unit starts and isn't displaying any error codes and otherwise working, the dryer is functioning properly, i.e. heating, not running too long, not tripping hi-limit safety etc. Let me know if this is indeed the case...that the dryer is working fine otherwise, or if you are referring to another model number. Bosch Axxis WTL5410 condensation dryer does not heat up

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be the fault.

I have a Bosch Nexxt WTMC 3300 electric dryer. The dryer doesn't heat up. This is the second time this has happened over a one year period. The first time it happened, the technician reset the thermal cutoff, but said he saw no reason why it should have tripped. Can you tell me how to reset the thermal cutoff or offer another solution?

Open front panel, remove heat exchanger and clean.
Unplug the dryer. remove the panel in the back of the dryer that covers the heating element. ( the inner panel). On top of the heating element you will see a thermal sensor with a small red button on it. Thats the manual reset button To test if the heating element is working properly you can disconnect the wires from the sensor and clip the connectors together . Plug the dryer back in and start it. pay attention to the heating element. It should begin to glow shortly. if it doesn't then your heating element is bad and needs to be replaced.

Unplug the dryer. Connect the wires back to the thermal sensor. Plug the dryer back in. Before you start the dryer, press the red button on the switch. This is your reset button. Start the dryer. If the heating element doesn't come on and dryer doesn't heat, then you need to replace that sensor.
