Lost my 4 released monkeys!

In this game, I had released 4 of the monkeys in the Forest Temple, I then went and got the boomerang. At that point I saved the game and turned it off. When I went back to my saved game I am outside the Forest Temple. When I go into the main room, I have 1 monkey on each side of the center area that I can use to get back into each door on the left and right, If I go straight, to go back outside into the room where I fought the big Baboon and got the boomerang, there are no monkeys on the rope (4 needed) so I can go back. I then go back to where I released the locked monkeys before, and they are gone from their cages. What gives?

You don't have to defeat the boss to get it, you need to defeat the baboon monkey creature. You'll need to save some monkeys from their cages and head to the biggest room with all the doors and go to where the baboon took down the bridge. Now you can cross the gap using the monkeys and get to the room where you can fight him for the Gale Boomerang. He's in the room labeled #10 on the map.

Cant get across revolving wind bridges for forth monkey to progress through game

You probably need to take a different route and do something else first, or if you have the gale boomerang already use that to spin the bridge. Here's a walkthrough of the Forest Temple....

You get the boomerang from the big monkey after you roll into the totem polls he's standing on in the battle. When he falls give him a bunch of good hits. Also, finding all the small monkeys can be tricky so pay attention to detail. By far one of my favorite games ever. Let me know if there's any more I can help you with!

I defeated the guardian in the Forest Temple after many many hours, and when I went to play the game the next day, after saving it, it did not remember my progress. Am I not doing something right?

I can't go through forest temple bridges

If you have the Gale Boomerang, use it. You have to target the spinny-things at the tops of the bridges then throw it, it will cause the bridge to turn. But if you don't have the boomerang, you can't move the bridges yet, there is something else in your quest you have to do first. Oh, and depending on how far you get, at some point you can use a golden cucco to fly across, or Midna to jump across as a wolf. Hope this helps :)

usually you just walk up to the door and it will say open and which button to press if it is locked look around and look for chest i know this board you need to work with the monkeys

I cant get out of the 1 dungeon

If you have obtained the Gale Boomerang go to the room inback of the temple entrance and knock down the hanging chest. It has the compass that will show the location of treasure chests and the monkey.

Zelda (WII) i am in forest temple and just rescued the monkey on the totem when i leave the room do i go thru the dor with the gate on wheels if so how do i open it

I'm not sure if this is where you are but try this

In order to unlock the gate, you have to use the boomerang on the four windmills atop the nearby pillars. (You can queue up targets with the Z button while you aim the boomerang.) You can’t just hit them at random, though; you have to follow the Z-shaped pattern on the floor. For instance, you can go northeast pillar - northwest - southeast - southwest, or the opposite. When you hit the pillars in order, you’ll unlock the gate and obtain the Big Key.

Can't get into door in first temple with 4 windmills

Obtain the Gale boomerang by defeating Ook. Then go back to those fans and look at the pattern on the floor. Target and lock on all four so the Gale Boomerang moves in the "Z".
