the reason its saying,,ntldr is missing is because its lost somthing from the hard drive that it needs to run,it would have lost that when it stopd loading your windows.try it again and if it gives you..repair windows ,,,then do that.and it should do it because it should fint the missing file that it needs to carry on loading.
Have you tried a System Restore/Recovery? Can you boot to safe mode? Try the restore/Recovery procedure: Shut down, unplug, remove battery, plug in, push the on button and When Acer splash is on screen holdAltand keep pressing F10...
Have you tried booting in safe mode? Turn off computer, then turn it on and immediately hit the F8 key repeatedly until you see Safe Mode as an option. Take the safe mode option. Once it boots up all the way in safe mode see if you can go to Start/Programs and look for eRecovery to restore back to factory settings. If not, you should be able to get it back to factory settings in spite of the error code. Boot your computer and and try the Alt+F10 key to get the factory setting started. Try Alt+F10 when you see the Acer Logo. If it doesn't work try it when you first turn on the system.
Try alt+F10 when windows boot. else try restart your computer start tapping F8 once you see the advance boot options..go to repair my computer..select the language..then enter your user name and password..in recovery options go to factory image recovery.
You can try to boot the system using Safe Mode and try to see it it will be able to boot so that you will be able to backup your file. In addition to that you disable other programs that might be causing the system not to boot up. Go to Safe Mode by reseting the computer then tapping F8. If your able to acces safe mode follow these instructions: 1. Go to Start then click on RUN. 2. Type MSCONFIG. 3. Go to Services Tab, click Hide Microsoft Services then click Disable All. 4. Reboot the computer and see it it will go to normal mode. It you will be able to boot to normal mode it only means that one of the installed software is preventing windows to load. 5. if still cant boot you neet to reformat the system. Take note that if you reformat the system all the files will be deleted so its better to back up the files first. You can use a Recovery Disk that came with the system or you do a Acer Disk Recovery.
Acer Dsik Recovery Steps:
1. Power on the Machine 2. At the white ACER BIOS screen, hold the Alt key and press the F10 key simultaneously to start Acer eRecovery 3. Once eRecovery has loaded, click Restore to Factory Default Settings 4. Click OK to continue 5. From here, the eRecovery process will update all the data on the C: drive and restore a fully functional factory image (approximately 10 minutes). 6. Once eRecovery has run, press OK to reboot unit.

It appears that the computer is infected with virus and may need full system recovery. You can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key
& keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction. NOTE: This will erase all the datas on
the computer.
You can also create a set to Recovery disk from the recovery partition, to do so
Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Click Create Factory Default Disk, if you receive any error code or unable to burn the disk, please contact Acer Technical
support at 1 800 816 2237 and order for an Recovery Disk.
You're going to need to boot it from the Windows XP installation disk, which means if you don't have a CD drive you'll need to get an external CD-ROM drive. This will fix the problem.
Select models have the ability to have the operating system reinstalled from a hidden drive built into the netbook. To start the Acer eRecovery:
Tap the Alt and F10 keys togther during Power-On Self-Test (POST while the Acer logo is being displayed).
When prompted with a boot screen, hit the Enter key.
After the Acer eRecovery program has loaded follow the prompts to reinstall the operating system.
If the ability to reinstall from the previous method is not available or fails during the recovery, recovery of the operating system will need to be from Acer Recovery Media. In order to recover the system using Acer Recovery Media an external optical disc drive is required.
Press F2 to enter BIOS Setup during Power-On Self-Test (POST while the Acer logo is being displayed).
Arrow over to "Boot".
Ensure that the external optical drive is plugged into a USB port.
Refer to on screen instructions to set the first device to "USB CDROM".
Press the CD-ROM drive eject button and insert the System CD.
Close the CD-ROM tray.
Press "F10", then press "Enter" to save the changes and reboot the system.
The netbook will boot from the Acer Recovery Media, follow the prompts to reinstall the operating system.
First, try doing Alt-F10 at bootup. It's supposed to load erecovery management. This is where the recovery software is located. If you can execute it, you will be able to restore windows and still create another recovery set.
Now, if you have tried to boot into Safe Mode with Command prompt and this doesn't work, then you will have to contact Acer and order the discs. It'll cost about 50 dollars to order a recovery set from Acer.
