Hi... am I clear on your reply.. you got the Q10 running in VISTA???!!!

That is great. i have XP and I was really troubled that I couldn't use my Q10 if I bought a computer with VISTA. This Aardvark card is GREAT!!! too bad their marketing must have been bad. They couldn't compete or something.
thanks for a reply

you can use it with sp2. just make sure you have disabled any other sound cards on your computer in the hardware device manager. you can download the drivers here...make sure you use the 7.13 version

I upgraded my Gateway LT1005u to Windows Vista and I need to find Ethernet and Wireless drivers to work for it. So far I have had no luck.

you will also have trouble w/the sound drivers,.. most likely. i have upgraded a number of machines from xp to vista and xp to 7 and was not really satisfied w/the results of most of them and for reasons beyond the driver hunt that you have to go on to make the machine work. i just wouldn't do it. I don't do it anymore and even if i wanted to i sure as heck wouldn't do it w/vista. i wouldn't spit on vista if it were on fire!:) If you are determined to give yourself a headache then at least do it w/windows 7. sorry i couldn't be more helpful and good luck:)

Will my Aardvark Q10 work with a new machine with Vista?

I have heard that the drivers will not work in Vista. But, you can get the XP downgrade (sometimes for free) and still be able to use your Aardvark on the new machine. As for the PCI slots being different, I wouldn't think there would be an issue. If newer machines had PCI slots with lower voltage or other differences, this might make them incompatible with a whole slew of older PCI cards. As far as I know, the only issue is with the drivers.

Aardvark q10

you can set the driver signing warning to 3 levels, ignore - warn - block. Yours are set to block. If the driver is not "official" according to microsoft's lists, the OS will not allow it to be installed. I know this because Roland doesn't get their drivers signed, and give specific instructions on how to change the setting.

control panel/system/harware tab/driver signing. Make your setting.

Problems with the USB hub on P5GD2, running Vista

So you mean that you change your OS from XP to Vista? Yeah it really wont work normal because the driver that you installed is not for VISTA compatible drivers. ANd also you cannot force to install an XP driver to a Vista OS. Try to look to google that MBR of your and find some compatible driver for your VISTA.
