Hi.

The unit goes on protected mode when an internal fault is detected.

Try disconnecting the battery cable for five minutes . If there is no fault you will clear protected mode.

If the unit still goes on protect, then check the wiring at the back, a short in there can trigger protectedd mode. If that does not work, then there is an internal fault. In that case the unit must be disassembled and tested.

Regards.

How to get kenwood KDC-X996 out of protect mode

Hit the reset button. It should be behind the headset. Using a small pin or needle just press and hold it for 3 seconds.
Usually that will do that trick.

How do I enter the Test Mode on my RISO 790 duplicator?

Do you mean into the unprotected mode?, if so

Turning OFF Protect mode in a Riso MZ 790u (and other models I'm sure).

1. Go to Admin Tab on the main console screen and scroll to the "Protect" button.
2. Select (press) the "Protect" button on the screen; printer will go through a reset function (takes about 3-5 seconds).
3. After printer is finished "resetting", pull out one of the master disposal boxes (doesn't matter which one).
4. Press the "Protect" button again.
5. the screen should say "Protect = Off"
6. You're done and your machine should be un-locked now.

Kenwood kdc-mp442u protect mode came

First of all , your Kenwood shows only Protect on the display when your speakerwires are conflicting with each other , but when you cannot find the problem there....

disconnect them one by one to see wich speaker in your car is conflicting (shortcuts).

Replace that speaker and your kenwood will work just fine.

I had the same problem here with a brand new Clarion speaker .

The system is showin the display PROTECT and is not running

One thing that may have happened is that you somehow accidentally entered security mode. This is similar to OEM units that have a 4 or 5 digit code. On the MP435U, you can reset the unit by pressing and holding the small reset button just under and to the right of the main knob. This will, unfortunately, wipe all your setting so you will have to set the unit up all over again. While you are setting it up, set the security code to something you will remember so you can get by this in the future without resetting the whole unit. In stanby mode hit the menu button. The unit will display CODE SET. Hit Enter. Using the buttons and knob, enter your code. You will have to do this twice and then the unit will confirm with APPROVED.

Kenwood ddx512 was working just fine now its in protect mode and i dont have the manual

Try checking all of your connections something may have come loose, usually its a speaker connection that may have come loose and come in contact with a piece of the car's chassis or a metal part. This will cause the 512 to go into Protect mode. When you fix this hit the reset button.

Can't set time, etc. on Ottimo Billboard Solar watch.

I just picked up this watch.  Setting it is easy.  Hold down the button marked "RESET" (lower right) until the numbers start blinking.  Hit the "MODE" button (lower left) until the the settings you want to change are blinking.  Hit the "ST/STP" button (upper right) to change that setting.  Keep on hitting these two buttons until the settings are as you would like them.  Hit "RESET" button to finish.  So, to change just the day, I would hold down "RESET," hit "MODE" four times, hit "ST/STP" until the date is correct, hit "RESET" to save.
