I had the same problem and went through
RCA support to get a solution which (to my surprise) actually worked. Here's what you need to do. Connect your USB cable to your computer but do not connect to your
mp3. Hold down the toggle switch on the mp3 while turning it on. Then insert the other end of the USB cable to the mp3. This should allow your computer to recognize the mp3.
Now go to website: support.rcaaudiovideo.com (no www. prefix). Go to "
software updates". Click on "mp3 players" a couple of times and then your model "H125". Then click on "H115 and H125 Lyra
Hard Drive Upgrade Utility" and follow the directions from there.
Good luck!

how do you reset mp3 players. I tried to hold down on/off button for 15 seconds and nothing happened. Is there another button to look for, or do I press 2 buttons at the same time?
