Here is your manual if all it is is adjustment. It most likely is the IC's that go bad that handle the convergence circuits. It is not hard usually, but you do need some electronic skills to get this done right. Brad

Need diagram to rebuild and fix convergence issues

In a APEX set change the convergence chips (2) AND use the original remote to adjust the set. There are several sites like TV parts.com that sell kits based on brand and model number.

Apex GB51HD09 convergence

Please have it taken care of ASAP. It definitely sounds like Cold Solder joints on the convergence IC's. Cheap repair now, if you stop playing it. Every-time the convergence goes out, the ic's struggle to bring it back in and can't and therefor over heat. so please have it taken care of Pronto. Apex used a Samsung chassis which was a good chassis in that PTV.

Apex gb4308 43in problom

From reading your question i have decided this isn't something you have any hope of fixing yourself. Take the TV to a service center/technician they will be happy to fix any "vertical convergence" issues you may have.

Apex 43 inch tv

Convergence is when you aim all three of the projectors, your tv has three, so that the images they produce all line up with each other. This usually doesn't generate a white line across the middle of the screen though, there is a button on the front panel of your set that automatically converges the three projectors, you can try using that.

55 apex HD tv

The APEX and most rear projections are notorious for poor solder joints. The convergence circuits on your TV get very hot and the solder joints weaken over time. In your case, the convergence STKs are the large chips mounted to heat sinks right up front on the left hand side circuit board. Remove the board and resolder the STKs using a good low wattage iron. If this doesn't fix your problem try replacing the STKs. They aren't that expensive. They have 15 or so legs so you'll need some skills removing them. Good Luck!

Convergence and wavey picture problem

Actually you have 3 problems. The two that you listed and the third which is: Apex does not support their units. Ask anyone who has tried to get any service. Your problem sounds like a bad digital convergence box. I fix this problem several times a week but on name brand sets. Cost is usually less than $100 for the part. Some problems with Apex equipment can be fixed if the part is a common off the shelf part. That is not the case with your problem. Apex equipment is cheap for a reason. All posts that I have read say that they do not last long and you can't get parts. That has also been my experience as a technician. We don't even accept Apex units for repair anymore. Next time spend the extra money to buy a name brand unit and it will more than likely be repairable.
