Treo 650 freezes and restarts

I purchased unlocked Treo 650 on eBay (that was a big mistake but I'm not going to talk about it now...). The phone seamed to work fine with both ATT and T-Mobile network. However, it freezes and restarts by itself very frequently, couple of times a day. Sometimes I have to take out the battery or do a hard restart to make the phone work. I didnt install any additional software on it. Is there any "easy" solution to the problems I have with my Treo 650 or should I look for a repair service? Any help is desired and appreciated. Thanks,

I have the same exact problem, I have had this phone for about a year and a half and now its just shutting down two or three times a day. Sometimes it will shut down for 5 minutes, sometimes 20 minutes and right now its been shut down for about 5 hours if anyone has any idea how to fix this problem please let me know...Thanks in advance

I am having the same problem trying to figure out what I need to do. Thinking about sending it back to Palm haivng them repair the problem.

Restarting of phone mode

You probably have a loose SIM tray. I had a loose tray and it would just shutdown if the phone go sat down or held.

Treo 650 keeps restarting itself

its prob'ly caused by an app which is not fully compatible with palm os.... remove your mem.card, and sim then, hard reset... thats what i did, my treo 650 kept on restarting after i installed gizmo.... try it and get back to me....

Palm treo 650 phone

Greetings to all. I have just purchased a palm treo 650. It was unlocked so I was told, but it was not a GSM, It was a CDMA, My carrier is T Mobile and I dont know what I could to Make It Work, as t mobile has a sim card and this treo 650 does not. Had constant restarting problem..now phone wont turn on

Could be hardware related but I would confirm your Treo OS is the latest version. There have been a couple of updates since the Treo 650 was launched. Note that the updates are service provider specific (i.e., if you are on Sprint PCS make sure to get the Sprint PCS specific update, etc.)

Purchasedunlocked Treo 650 from ubid but I have got a locked phone

If it was sold to you as unlocked return it and get them to unlock it or exchange it..

If you can't, there are no free solutions that I know of, check somewhere like www.650unlock.com (im not recommending them just came up first in a search)
Its worth googleing "treo 650 unlock" and shopping around also check 650 forums for recommendations

I need a password to unlock my cell phone.

Your going to have to hard reset the treo as there's no way anyone can get you a password for it. If you mean unlocking it to the carrier then im afraid i cannot help you there as thats now allowed by your carrier.
