Bosch 24 in. SHE44C02UC / SHE44C06UC / SHE44C07UC Built-in Dishwasher Logo
Anonymous Posted on Mar 22, 2010

Bosch she44c06uc. Like many here, changed out the garbage disposal and didn't drain. Have reset the system by holding the "Drain Cancel". No help. The cycle stops at draining. Investigated and found small piece of glass wedged in the impellor. While having the interior cover over the impellor off, the motor for the drain impellor is humming, but the impellor does not move while engaged. The impellor will rotate by hand and stops at a point at 3/4 turn. I am hoping it is not in need of a new motor. Any suggestions before this undertaking? Thanks.

Unfortunatly, the impeller is not sold seperately from the complete unit. Am going to get the unit for $59.00. Much less than a service call. Thanks james2good.

Check the center of the impeller, it should be flat on one side round on three, the impeller might be rounded out from the shaft it sits on. You might just need a new impeller. Good Luck, N let me know Thanks. jimmy

Our dishwasher won't drain completely. I ran it through a regular cycle but it was left with water in the bottom.

Have you tried canceling the cycle? To cancel, turn the on/off switch to on, then press and hold for three seconds the two buttons labeled "Cancel Drain". Keep the door closed for the next minute so that the dishwasher can complete the cycle. During this time the pump will remove any water from the washer. Also you will notice that Bosch dishwashers always leave a little water in the system to keep the seals from drying out and going bad.
Hope this helps

The dishwasher washes the dishes ok, but the dishwasher does not fully drain.

Since the drain pump will pump the water out using the "cancel/drain" button, if it did not work then your problem is likely to be in the drain hose system or the garbage disposal downstream from the drain pump. Check for kinks in clogs in the drain hose. Grease can build up in the portion of the drain hose just before it attaches to the garbage disposal.

Installation

It sounds like you have connected your dishwasher to a garbage disposal.

  1. The 2 hoses provided with your dishwasher connect together.
  2. You run the drain hose through a hole in the bottom/back of your cabinet, then up to the top of the cabinet, then connect it to the drain on the garbage disposal. (The reason that you run your drain up to the top of the cabinet is: This is called an air gap, and helps keep a little water in the drain line, which will prevent sewer gases from entering your dishwasher.)
  3. Be sure to knock the plug out of the drain of the garbage disposal. A garbage disposal is designed to work with or without a dishwasher. The plug is in the center of the drain. The best way to knock this plug out is to pull the garbage disposal, and with a flat screwdriver, knock the plug out.
  4. Then remove the plug from the disposal. Reinstall the disposal.
  5. Install the drain hose. The drain hose will connect right up to the disposal using the clamp provided with the dishwasher.
This should help you. If not please attach more info.
