you can use the s-video cable for connecting it to tv if the camera has a s-video port.

alternatively you can download the software from sony website for your handycam which can convert the video from the tape into a CD/DVD. You can then watch them on tv using your DVD/CD Player. if you do this you need to ensure that the video is captured in same mode as your TV NTSC or PAL)

It may be a tape transport issue - have you watched the tape going round, to see if it occurs at any particular place on either the feed or take-up spool ?

This is usually caused by an oxidized or defective Audio/Video drum. Try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

why you don't connect it to DVD rcorder and record it then finalize and watch even on the compter. good luck

Check eject lever near battery, press it downward to open tape compartment, take out old tape and put new tape, close tape door and let it go inside by itself. Close tape compartment.

Sounds video head is dirty / clogged.
Use good quality video-8 head cleaning tape for head cleaning in DCR-TRV530 and then record and playback it.

take out the battery, put it back, turn it on and you take the tape out of the camera. hope this helped you. have a great day.

try to clean the video head...just forward a blank new tape 5 times...until the head is being cleaning...dont use a video head cleaner...just think using a sand paper to the head....it damaging the head
