Trio won't hold charge.

This may not be the problem, but worth checking. I ran into this the other day with my Trio Stealth pro tablet. I had left it on while unplugged and it drained the battery completely in sleep mode. It would only show the startup icon and shut right off. After a complete charge it is back to normal operation. You might try making sure the charge is full, maybe the battery has gone bad and that would also affect operation. Also try starting it up without the SD card in. If it doesn't mount properly or a file is corrupt, it may act strangely. I believe it scans the SD card first and may be trying to startup on it. Other than the above mentioned, it could still be hardware related with Ram or CPU problems. Good luck in finding the problem, tablets can be fun but frustrating sometimes.

It's possible your charger is faulty. If your unit can charge with a USB cord through a computer try that. If it charges then your charger is faulty. The charger can be tested with a voltmeter by someone knowledgeable. The other problem possible is that the charging receptacle is faulty. That would show up if the USB method doesn't work. If the charger is o.k. then your battery won't hold a charge and needs to be replaced.

Battery error or charger error.try with new charger or usb cable.
if you have warranty you have no problem and go for warranty.

all that shows is trio stealth G2 when turned on it freezes I tried the reset button

More then likely you powered the unit on before it had enough of a charge to operate, Chargers for these types of tablets are way to little power for these things, will hold the charge when you use it but will not charge the unit when you use it, needs to go into standby to charge. Hold the power button and see if you can get a reboot screen or a turn unit off screen. Turn the unit off fully let it charge up alll the way then powere the unit back on. Should reset it. If not look for a small hole in the unit that says reset. push this and see what happens.

Sorry to hear this. you are not the only one and kathy there are some things you can try. I have been trying to figure out why and what is the root cause. I will pass on to those who get THE BRICK some links and things to try. But i will not give u all the info without this.. Try to get a new USB cord maybe?

Plug it back into the USB port and let it charge for about a minute. Attempt to access the Trio from your "My Computer" screen and once you've done that, close out and "Safely Remove" and the problem should be solved. Worked for me.
