How do I wire a four pin plug for a CB? - Galaxy Radios DX-99V 40-Channels Base CB Radio

I believe to wire a Sadelta M3 microphone to a Cobra 29 LTD Classic CB radio:

The Sadelta M3 microphone has four wires: white, shield (bare wire), red, and black. The Cobra 29 LTD Classic CB radio's microphone jack also has four pins: Pin 1 (Audio), Pin 2 (Ground), Pin 3 (Transmit), and Pin 4 (Receive).

did you cut the wire to the mic plug . 99% of R.S. mics are wired the same. there are some four pin and 6 pins but basically all the din type plugs are the same.

Try this, looking at the mic connector from the wire side and going counter-clockwise starting in the four oclock position: PIN 1 sh, PIN 2 wh, PIN 3 bk, PIN 4 rd.

one wire is ground,one wire is tx one wire is rx,so now all you have to do is find which wire goes where. do you have a multi meter? put one end into the antenna plug on the radio now put you meter on sound for an ohms reading and touch the pins .If the pin makes a loud clear sound thats your ground now the rest is trial and error. When you finally get it connected write down the wiring so you can have it at a future date.

Wow I've never seen a six wire Turner + 3 anyway give this a try 1)shield & blue 2) white 3) black 4) red if the radio keys up as soon as you plug in the mic switch black and red . Good luck . Dan

if you have a cobra radio with four pin input and a turner road king 56 it goes like this. pin one shield and red wire,pin 2 white,pin 3 blue,pin 4 black and tape up the yellow wire it isn't used. the numbers should be on the plug if not look inside your jack on your radio. hope this helped
