How to set the clock

Press the Title button (to the right of the display) until the time is displayed. Press and hold the Title button until the time starts to blink (2+ seconds). Then turn the rotary encoder (the center circle of the set of buttons and controls on the left of the display) to set the current hour. Press the Mode button (below the rotary encoder). Then turn the rotary encoder to set the current minute. Press Title to exit the Time Set mode (or the unit will exit the mode if no buttons or controls are moved for 5 seconds).

Alpine USA has the Owner's Manual for the CDA-9856 here: vault.alpine-usa.com/products/documents/OM%20CDA-9856.PDF . See page 7 (page 9 of the PDF) of the manual.

I hope this helps.

I purchased a used Suburban in which the previous owner installed an Alpine CDM-7857 receiver. Although I do not have the Alpine owner's manual I figured out most the receiver's operations except how to...

According to the manual follow these steps

While the clock is displayed, hold down the clock button for 3 seconds.
Time indicator will blink.
Press the ct button to set the seconds.
Press the H button for the hour.
and M for minutes.

Time indication will stop blinking 5 seconds after the ajustment.
Then the time will automatically be set.

Just in case I will include the link to the manual for other operations.....

How to change the time on clock radio

I'm not 100% sure if this is right or not, but i used to have one similar and the way to reset it was:
  1. Press the SET button.
  2. After the time blinks, press the REV or FWD button to adjust the time. (Press and hold the REV or FWD button to fast reverse or fast forward time.)
  3. To save settings press the SET button.
  4. Once you have the clock set and have press the SET button, the time should be done blinking.
Give this a try and hopefully it works, good luck

Alpine CDM-9803 Cd Player

You need to visit Alpines' site to download the owner's manual for your unit. In the mean time here is some info from the troubleshooting guide for your error code.

• Mechanism error.
1. Press the "eject" button and eject the CD.
If not ejecting, consult your Alpine dealer.
2. When the error indication remains after ejecting,
press the "eject" button again.
If the error indication still does not turn off after
pressing the "eject" button for a few times, consult your
Alpine dealer.
Note
When the "- - - E" is displayed:
In case that the disc cannot be ejected by pressing the "eject"
