Electric fireplace still works, except the flame does not light up anymore? Is there a way to fix this? It is a Chauffe-Air, Model# 6901740100 Cat.No. DFB4047 Mod. Level: MOD A Serial # 26806D6F 093. I don't have a manual as I purchases this second hand.

Find an access door on the back or side or both.
check lightbulbs.
Do not replace with anything but exact bulb.
try taking the bulb to Lowes...I've gotten luck there before with odd bulbs...they have a special drawer for them.
Good luck,
Vinnie

Hi there, I'm not sure if your fireplace is the same as mine or not (I bought mine at Lowe's) but there is no access door per se, you just remove the back of the heating unit (be sure to unplug it, of course) and you can get to the bulbs that way. At least on mine I could and mine seems pretty standard. Thanks for the answer Vinnie, I hope to fix mine this way!

What kind of a light bulb is needed for the febo flame electric fireplace?

Flickering flame fires generally use a fairly ordinary tungsten filament incandescent bulb, except the Fireglow bulbs are coated with an amber coloured lacquer. The heat from the bulb causes an upward current of air causing a small "windmill" to turn and cause the light to flicker.
That is the traditional method but ultra modern fires might use a higher-tech solution.

I can't to find the area to replace the bulb. Everything works except for the light To eacy to leave on without the light. Where is the bulb located and what should I purchase to replace it. model #...

On the back of the heater stove, you will see a rectangular panel in the center, near the bottom of the stove. If you remove that (by removing the screws that hold it in place), you will have access to the small base, 60 watt. chandelier bulbs that you will need to replace. Be sure to turn the stove OFF and unplug it, before attempting to replace the bulbs.

Hope this helped you and Happy Easter!
