Unfortunately, you have a DVD player that is "Region Specific" and cannot be changed. Your system has a region code printed on the back of the unit and will only play DVDs that are labeled with identical region codes. DVDs labeled "ALL" will also play in this unit. If you try to play any other DVD, the message " Playing this disc is prohibited by area limits." will appear on the TV screen. Depending on the DVD, no region code indication may be labeled even though playing is prohibited by area limits.
There isn't anything you cab really do without opening the xbox up.
ll DVD's have what is called a region code. this is a code that is specific to 5 regions. in North America, we are region 1, and Japan, they would be region 5. If the Xbox is purchased in North America, the DVD drive in the Xbox, is imprinted with region code 1. This mean it will only play region code 1 movies, and games.
The only thing you can do is to either mod your xbox, or replace the DVD drive with a drive from a different region, but this will make it so you can play dvds from your region.

Region codes is a built-in feature of the DVD system designed to
control where discs are viewed and distributed. All DVD hardware and
software is coded using one of six numbers ( DVDs Regions 0 , 7 and 8
are special cases - see below ). The U.S. and Canada use Region 1.
Region 2 discs are used in the U.K. , Europe and Japan . While
Australia and the Caribbean use Region 4. These codes determine where
the discs can be played.
Your console must match the discs region code. This is not the case so you wont be able to play with this game.
The PET702 will be a region 5 machine, whereas the UK DVDs are region 2.
DVD players from a particular region are designed to play only DVDs from the same region, due to copyright and distribution rights in each country or region.
However the PET702 can have the region protection removed by making it multi-region:
Switch on the PET702 and Open the tray. Press SETUP button on the remote control, which will bring up the menu.
The screen will show: "Region Code: 2" Press [1-6] to manually set the region OR [0] for multi-region.
Press [SETUP] to exit
You will now be able to play DVDs from anywhere in the world.
This is particularly useful, because region 1 DVDs from the US often come out when the movies are still in the cinemas over here. Region 1 DVDs can be bought perfectly legally by mail order or from the internet.
