Hate to tell you that replacing parts on a monitor would be very hard not only to find the parts but it would be very costly, I would recommend scrapping it and buy a 90$ refab off tiger direct or something, the only thing you can really fix on a monitor is perhaps a dead pixel, other than that its not worth it.

My Grundig 46" VLE7239BR television has problem. When powering on, message "Grundig" shows for one second and the display then goes black. Is this a problem to repair?

Question edited for clarity, typos, spelling.

In general, all televisions can be repaired if boards are available. but depending on age, a failure like this is often a good chance to upgrade to more modern alternatives for both picture quality and features. Having said that, your Grundig is a full HD set and worthy of repair.

Samsung smart tv has a black screen that flashes to a real screen for about 1 second then goes back to black. it has sound

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Lg2284 screen goes to black in a second

There is a circuit board that is failing. Sorry but it is time to buy a new monitor. If you are skilled at electronics repair you can replace the circuit board, but I have found that the price of the circuit board plut the effort of replacing it is not worth the trouble.

Sceptre Monitor P/N X7G-Komodo II displays for about 1 second at a time, then goes black. When I cycle monitor power, I see a perfect display for 1 second. Does anyone have a recommended solution?

When the backlight does not stay on for more than a second, the problem is usually the backlight power supply board failure. Typical failures are blown capacitors, or transistors. A electronic repair shop should be able to fix it.

This Acer 2416w has problems with weak capacitors on the inverter board causing shorting of the driver FETs. Replacing caps and shorted FETs may solve the malfunction.

Sceptre X7G nagaVI problem

For most of the problems above you will find it is bad capacitors on the power board sending unstable power accross to the controller board.

For the last posted problem (Comment by Guest, posted on Jan 02, 2008) you have a dodgy inverter circuit that needs to be repaired.

Both faults should be fairly cheap to have taken care of at your local TV repair shop. You may need to call a few in your area not just for a quote, but also to see if they are willing to work on an LCD monitor.

Hope that helps you all =)
