Try rebooting the player. This is how u do that. Press and hold the play/pause button. then use a paper clip and push it into the little hole on the bottom of the player next to the charging port. pull the paper clip out and the diagnostic screen should appear on the screen of the player. release the play/pause button. scroll down to reboot and touch the touch pad to reboot. hope that helps.

My creative software for Zen Sleek Photo won't load on Vista

Vista by default will support the Zen Sleek Photo as an MTP device, which means that Windows Media Player will recognize it as well as Explorer.

You can use WMP to sync music to it, and Explorer to drag/drop photos to it.

Zen Sleek Photo shows not connected>

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
Clicking, though, normally indicates a hardware issue - call manufacturer to see if you are eligible for replacement.

Creative Labs Zen Sleek backlight went out

I think there are brightness controls in the settings, I'm not too sure lol as my player isn't in the room with me. If there are brightness settings, make sure they're turned up and your backlight is not set to OFF. If the problem persists after this, you can get in touch with Creative an I think they offer a repair service if the product is not under guarantee anymore, but if it is under guarantee, enjoy a new player courtesy of the guys down at Creative. I hope this helps^^
