The problem is if you want to change it you need to disarm all the in the front and remove the screen and in the back so you can get the fan.

The lamp is XL-2200u from Sony. There are several fans in the set. The rear cover of the TV needs to be removed
**Caution! Unplug the TV before any work. Replace cover before plugging it in!
Remove two thumb screws on the lower back cover on the wings of the set. Once the thumb screws are loose, pull firmly on the front lower bezel of the TV. (Don't pull it over!) The lamp is in the middle of the TV behind this cover. The three fans are buried in the chassis. I STRONGLY recommend letting a trained TV technician do this as the optic chassis needs to be removed to get at the lamp fan.

Enter 2470
DO NOT PUSH ANY OTHER BUTTONS!!!
At the bottom is how many hours your TV has been on
Press MENU to exit
There is no way to reset the hours so keep a record.
