My acer note book keeps loosing power,
I took it in one day and they sold me a new power pack,
when I got home my computer came on without the new power pack,
About a month later - no power, changed the power pack and nothing,
took it to computer place who tested and said the new power pack was no good, I took it home and my notebook worked again,
About a month later no power again, took my computer in again, this time they said it was the mother board $500.00 I decide I would purchase a different computer instead of repairing one I had trouble with,
My note book started working again,
I bought a new power bar, changed locations for outlets.
Yesterday - NO POWER AGAIN,
what's going on??
Please advise

Hello,
Try the following..
- remove battery and power on the note book with power cable.
-if issue not solved ... check if you have access to memory card and reset it.
You have reached the end life of the battery pack. The battery must have some minimum charge to have computer function even with the AC power pack connected. So I suggest you replace the battery pack as a solution. Any local Radio Shack store can test this battery I am told free of charge.
The specifications of your computer are top of the line and can handle different applications and soft ware. Based on the hardware specs you've posted this should support Windows 7. But keep in mind that some of your hardware components may need be compatible w/ Windows 7 ( like bluetooth, camera, lan adapter, or wlan). In other words they don't have software driver that is compatible w/ Windows 7.

There is a small hole on the face of the tray which is used to open the tray in this kind of situation. Use some needle and push into the hole. If the tray does not come out, you have to open the laptop and remove the tray.
Working again,
