How can I repair the dock on the whiteapple hifi speaker

The speakers on a lot of TVs are not very good quality and seem to rely on owners providing their own audio solution. You have a couple of options if the TV speakers are not up to expectations.
1. Sound Bar - available from Audio/video retailers/Amazon.com etc.
2. If you have a hifi system or Ipod dock in your house with a 3.5mm jack input, and you TV has a 3.5mm jack headphone socket then you could connect it up and this will use the speakers on your audio equipment which will improve the output.

It's most likely that the power rating from your hifi dock is not enough for the 5g and that it is not supported on this hifi.

So the speakers are working but the mini hifi is not generating any sound to them. Replace the mini hifi, keep the speakers.

You can get a replacement docking PCB at Ridax. With this you just replace the broken PCB. This can also be used to upgrade a working iPod HiFi to work with newer iPods or iPhones.

If it is the foam surrounds on you speakers you are referring to, then that can be replaced by most decent HiFi repair guys. Cost you differing amounts for different size speakers, starting about $30 for a 6". You may have to ring around in your area to get someone that does this sort of work. I don't think they will accept it because it is a old version.
