Hi - I have an Acer Aspire One netbook & Acer Game problem

Hi - I have an Acer Aspire One netbook & recently purchased Ghost Hunter (a hidden objects game) through the Acer Online link. Have played other games from Acer but this one I'm having problems with. When I go to play it, 1/4 of the screen is missing off the bottom of the netbook so I cant get to any of the links I need to play the game again. I've tried altering the screen resolution, but this isnt working. Can you suggest anything else?

I cant seem to do anything once I get to the games start screen. You would normally have a link to click that says "Load Game", "Settings", "Quit" etc but these links are hiding beneath the botton of the screen so that I cant actually get to them to click on them. I assume the screen resolution would be in the settings tab on this page of the game but unfortunately I cant get to it, and nothing happens if I right click with the mouse either. I'm s bit stuck really, I bought the game but cant play it. Very frustrating.

Have you tried altering the screen resolution in the game to match the resolution your running in windows?

Try this I think this game is made by the same people so it might work
1. After installing, go to the desktop.

2. Right-click on the Blackwell Legacy icon. Select "Open file location" to go to the program folder.

3. Find the program called "winsetup.exe" and run it.

4. Select the checkbox that says "Run in a window instead of full-screen".

5. Don't change any other options. Click Save, then exit.

You can check the basic system requirement for the game and then check whether your laptop meets the requirement or not.
If your system meets the requirement then you can try to uninstall the game and then reinstall it.
This should help you.

You can try this as well :
Right click on the game icon then go to properties
after that you will get a window
under that window go to compatibility
just make it sure that there should be no check marks under the option that says run this program in the compatibility mode.

I have been using a Canon MX320 printer with my Acer Aspire netbook for 2 years. It added successfully then using the windows new hardware wizard. Recently the netbook had to go fo "clean up" (virus)

Try to reboot yout computer. And try to disconnect your printer and install again using the Windows new hardware wizard.

If that doesn't work, you can download a driver here and install it manually.

Hi, my acer aspire one netbook can't open XP and it says netbook acer aspire one Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM You can...

The Acer Aspire One Netbook has a hidden partition containing the files required for restoration to the original factory condition. The restoration clears all user data from the C: drive and requires that you have the netbook plugged into its AC adapter as the process takes significant time during which it should not be interrupted at the risk of hard disk corruption. To begun the process....
1. power on the netbook while it is plugged into its AC adapter
2. during power-on, while the Acer Logo is showing, press Alt and F10 together several times
3. Acer eRecovery loads showing the Windows screen momentarily
4. follow the on-screen directions and make the selection to recover the factory default image

I have bought a used Acer aspire one netbook with preinstalled windows xp. I would like to have a "clean sleet" to start with. How do I do that

Hi,

In order to do this, you need to reformat your laptop. That means that you need the installer for your Operating System as well as your drivers. Secure this two installers and get back here if you need further information.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Installing cd/dvd games on acer aspire one a110

Get an external CD/DVD drive (USB) and run the game from that. (It's probable that you are hitting a copyright lock that needs the original disc.)

Fishdom won't play on my Acer Aspire One

Ensure you are installing the game to your 160 GB HDD instead of an SD card or other location. Also you may want to go to the My Computer icon and ensure you have enough space to install the full game on your C: drive. All else fails reinstall.
