This is most like a problem with your graphics chip. You will most likely need to have it serviced. The lock button will "lock" your screen bringing you back to the Windows login screen.

This could be a sign of possible issues. I would check the drive for bad sectors. I would run a test of the memory (such as Mem test86) and verify there are no problems.

I cant find a way to use a live webpage desktop

The earlier "active desktop" function in Windows XP that allowed a live webpage as a desktop is no longer present in Vista. It was replaced by the SideBar. You probably need to look for a sidebar gadget that offers this functionality.

Dear Sir How Can i USE One-Wallpaper For All User In Active Driectory Thank You Md shiful Isalm 01713489184 [email protected]

Hello, you would need to create a GPO that gets applied to all computers in your AD domain. Within the GPO you can specify the file name of the background image you plan to use. Be careful of different screen resolutions as the image may be distorted from machine to machine especially if you have Desktops & Laptops. In that case you'll need 2 different GPOs pointing to different image files or you can do some more intelligent scripting to determine screen res.
Should be set here:
\User Configiguration\Administrative Templates\Desktop\Active Desktop\
  • Enable Active Desktop; and
  • Active Desktop Wallpaper
Good luck!

Desktop Restore Issue

It sounds like you had some web content that is no longer available as part of your active desktop. I copied the instructions for you on how to change it right out of windows help file. Good luck!

To add Web content to your desktop
  1. Right-click a blank area on the desktop, and then click Properties.
  2. On the Desktop tab, click Customize Desktop.
  3. On the Web tab, click New, and then follow the instructions on your screen.
You must be connected to the Internet to add active Web content to your desktop.
  • To browse Microsoft's Desktop Gallery Web site, in the New Desktop Item Wizard, click Visit Gallery. The New Desktop Item Wizard opens when you click New on the Web tab.
  • To select a different Web site, type the Web site address, or click Browse to locate it.
