Question about Watches
My new wall clock chimes 2 minutes BEFORE the hour. is there any way i can adjust it to chime on the hour ???
You will need to do a mechanical adjustment to the hand.
Loosen the hand nut and adjust the hand the tighten.
Hope this tip helps to solve your problems

How old is this clock. If it is an antique then sometimes it is what we call a manufacturer's fault and it is best to leave it alone.
You can try this. Stop the pendulum! Make sure the clock is not about to strike/chime, if it is then gently move the hand clockwise ONLY let it strike/chime. Undo the nut on the clock take the minute hand off. At the back of the hand you will see a square, take a pliers and try to move this square just a little bit. DO NOT USE TOO MUCH PRESSURE! If a pliers does not work, use a flat point screwdriver that fits neatly into the hole corner to corner then move it slightly. The square will normally be diamond shape when in the correct position. Replace the hand to see if it is right. Sometimes the hand does not have this square shape on it, then it is safer to leave it well alone till you can get someone to set it for you. I fix clocks so you are welcome to email me at [email protected]
Hope this helps! Please be as gentle as possible.
