How do you set the contrast on the TI-85? My screen is too dark and I need to lighten it. Thanks!

To adjust the screen contrast, press and release the 2ND key, then press and hold the up-arrow key to darken or the down-arrow key to lighten. If you go too far, press and release 2ND and press and hold the opposite arrow.

Hold the [2nd] button down while tapping the up or down arrows. This will change your contrast.

All you need to do is press [2nd] and the down arrow to lighten up your contrast. The problem is that your contrast was to dark. Hope this solution helps!

Try adjusting the screen contrast. Press and release the 2ND key, then press and hold the up-arrow to increase or the down-arrow to decrease the contrast.

1. Press the [2nd] key and RELEASE it.
2. Press and HOLD the UP Arrow to darken screen, or
3. Press and HOLD the DOWN Arrow to lighten it.

Keep pressing the UP or Down arrows (whichever you need to press) until the screen contrast is adequate.

In your case, the screen is too dark, so you must press the DOWN arrow to lighten it.

turn the TI-85 on and then hit the yellow "2nd" button and then down arrow. This may take several repeats. If it gets too light hit "2nd" and Up arrow.

After battery replacement, the screen contrast is liable to change: It may be too dark (your current case) or too light. You must adjust the contrast.

1. Press [2nd] key and release it.
2. Press an d HOLD one one of the navigation arrows

• Down arrow to lighten screen (your current case)

Keep pressing the relevant arrow key until the contrast is adequate.

Try turning the contrast down. Turn the calculator on. Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Down-arrow key for a few seconds until the screen lightens.

Press the 2nd key and the down arrow to lighten the screen.
