I recently aquired the bottom part of a Meade Lightbridge 10" Truss Dobsonian Telescope. This includes the Primary Mirror & tube that contains it plus the 3 Struts and not much else. I think I can make myself the Base, but the problem I have is with the top tube that holds the secondary mirror & focuser. I need to know the exact dimensions of this tube that holds the secondary mirror & focuser so I can match this with parts (the secondary mirror & tube, I already have a focuser I can use) I can buy from vendors. Alternatively, do you know of someone with an undamaged secondary mirror & tube for a 10" Meade Lightbridge Truss Dobsonian Telescope willing to sell it? call Ken at 615-832-7464 or e-mail at [email protected] and let me know Ken

I have a dobsonian telescope. I'm able to find an

If you point it at a STAR --- it will NOT be magnified. Stars are always just points of light no matter which scope you own.

OR do you mean it's in the finderscope but not in the main tube eyepiece?? We need more information to properly answer you.

You did put an eyepiece into the focuser-- right?

I can't get my Meade 10" Lightbridge telescope to focus in the eyepiece. I bought a Meade Laser Collimator and Collimated it last night outside before I tried to observe Jupiter and it still didn't...

Even if the scope is a little out of collimation it should still focus. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. DO NOT use a 2x barlow if you have one.

Try again--- you can do this during the day time on a distant object and practice turning the focus knob slowly left and or right until you get a sharp image.

The higher the magnification the smaller the "sweet spot" with the focuser.

76AZ-AD (180 x 76mm) Telescope: I recently purchased a Meade telescope but can not...

Does it have a name on the scope? If it has a MIRROR in the bottom it is a REFLECTOR.

If it has a lens on the front it is a REFRACTOR. Look on Meade's manual web site under the header REFRACTOR or REFLECTOR for one similar to your telescope.

Dented telescope tube

HOW bad? If they are small they will not affect anything. Contact your local astronomy club and have one of the members look at your telescope.

The focuser has probably come loose from the "rod" on the mirror.

Here is the focuser disassemble instructions:

Hello. I have a telescope, model 90076, but I cannot find the manual anywhere. Would it be possible to download one? Thank you :) Raquel

Your question does not include the BRAND of telescope; the number does not tell us what link of telescope you own.

However they all go together in the same way. There are two basic types of telescopes REFRACTOR and REFLECTOR. The reflector has a mirror in the bottom of the tube the refractor has a lens in front.

Meade maintains a list of manuals for all of their telescopes. Look under either REFRACTOR or REFLECTOR for one that is similar to your telescope.

The back of the manuals usually have suggestions on how to use the telescope.

Someone told me that the Meade Lightbridge could be equipped with Go-To Tecnology.T/F?

PUSH TO -- encoders can be mounted on to the base RA and DEC. After aligning on two known stars the hand controller will "point" to objects in the sky.

I was given an old Infinity 114eq. The mirror is pretty scratched up how do I get a new mirror?

A new mirror can be obtained from meade. However, are the scratches in the glass or just on the coating? Small scratches will not affect the image quality, but coating defects such as areas of discoloration can be a problem. If that is the case, then the mirror may only need re-coating. An excellent source for that is Spectrum Coatings.

Mirror fell out and broke I've got the 25 mm eye piece and lost the others

Not worth fixing-- next time you buy a telescope look at a small Dobsonian like this one--

http://www.telescope.com/control/product/~category_id=dobsonians/~pcategory=telescopes/~product_id=09804

or the 6 inch version of the same scope--
