I am looking for the wiring diagram for the 1998 Nissan Terrano 2 (AU) I am fitting a Sony xplod. The original Nissan plugs already removed. Just the wiring of the Nissan at the head unit would be fine as I am not fitting amps or bass.

look for an original system in a junkyard--online or an aftermarket one

At a wreckers/parts dealers/eBay/ or similar. Depending on what is broken in your mechanism it may be possible to use a more commonly available Pareto repair the meh aims, e.g. The actual motors are quite common on other Nissan vehicles. Just watch that you get a right hand side motor..they are different to the left hand side ones! Check the model numbers on the casing.....

With difficulty, as you have to remove the dashboard to do so. Some say fitting LED lights means you will never have to do this job again.........

Cut up a block of hard plastic, rounding the corner to make it easy for the wire to slide on, or make a small roller out of a curtain rail component and fit it onto a metal plate with a nut and bolt though its centre. Then rivet it onto the regulator bracket. As you rivet it, pull the wire and compress the springs into their nylon sockets to make the wires remain under tension. I successfully repaired mine and the result was better than the pathetically weak original bits.

Possibly the "Mass airflow sensor". I had a similar problem, basically the car behaved like it didn't have a turbo and was really slow. Unfortunately the Mass airflow sensor is expensive, about AU$800. Only failed once several years ago. Hope this helps.

it is easier to go to your local car spares shop, and get the leads that are available for nissans and sony stereos. they plug in behind the dash, and straight into the stereo. no chopping wires and quite cheap to buy
