theres a couple of version of this router http://www.dlink.com/products/default.aspx?pid=WBR-1310&tab=3 I'm using the manual from here http://www.dlink.com/products/?tab=3&pid=WBR-1310&rev=WBR-1310
you should be able to loginto the router and setup the wireless - if you are not able to login - you may need to do a factory reset and then login using the default settings and reset up
a useful tool for detecting wireless networks is this http://www.xirrus.com/library/wifitools.php you can use this on the PC to see if the wireless is broadcasting, if you can detect it on the PC

Did you enter the security key (password)? It may be your laptop? Try resetting the D-Link to default settings and connecting to the laptop. They reconfigure the SSID and Security Key. Write down the info for future use. Here's a user Manual: http://www.dlink.com/uk/en/home-solutions/connect/routers/dir-600-wireless-n-150-home-router

Wireless ssid not showing in some laptops and mobiles -dlink router

The D-Link wireless router may have the SSID broadcast turned off.
In this case only computers that have wireless connection to the D-Link will show the SSID.
If you know the SSID you can enter the SSID manually in the wireless card settings in the laptop/computer.
OR
Turn on SSID broadcast in the D-Link wireless settings.

I cant connect my wireless dlink dir 600 to wireless connection

Theencryption key secures your data from unauthorized access. The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, configure the router'swireless settings ie SSID, plus the WPAor WPA2 encryption key and then configure wireless cards in the laptops and orcomputers with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktopcomputers can communicate with your wireless router.

I have a d link d1 514 router. I'm unable to open 192.168.0.1. if i put the internet connection wire in LAN then I'm able to get internet access using cable but if i put the wire in wan, I'm not getting...

carry out the resetting of the dlink router
then use lan cable to gain access to dlink router,
set up the internet conenction (i.e. your internet provider modem plugged into the dlink router also)

if it has a built in wizard then just follow the on screen instructions

you will need to define SSID (wireless network name) and passkey (password for the wireless connection)

and the your done. disconnect the laptop from wired connection and connect via wireless

I have a dlink wbr-2310. My wireless works, but only after a fashion: it seems like whenever I want to use the wireless connection, I have to connect to the router console and simply go to the wireless...

I haven't come across this problem before.
Try resetting the Dlink back to the factory defaults and configure the Dlink again.
Power off the Dlink for a couple of mins. then power it up and press the Reset button on the back of the Dlink for at leasr 5 secs. until the LEDs flash, then configure the Dlink again. If you use different SSID and encryption settings etc., then you need to configure the wireless card in the computers with these settings

I can not connect to 192.168.0.1

To configure the DLink wireless router with the IP configuration address, connect a LAN cable from the computer to the DLink, then open IE browser and type http://192.168.0.1 login = admin and PW = blank (just press Enter - if you had not changed the default PW)

To set-up and secure the wireless router from unauthorized access, follow these steps: -
1. Connect the wireless router to your computer with a LAN cable.
2. Start your browser and enter the router's configuration URL IP address.
3. Enter the router setup, login and password
4. Change the admin password
5. Go to the wireless settings and change the default SSID and turn off SSID broadcast.
6. Setup encryption key the strongest is WPA2 (if not then WPA).
7. For further security measures - turn on MAC address filtering and enter the MAC address of the wireless cards on the computer/s you want to connect to this wireless router.
8. Record the settings you have made and keep it in a safe place and Save the settings.
9. Configure the wireless cards on the computer/s with the SSID and encryption settings of the router.
10. Remove the LAN cable between the router and the computer then the computers should be able to connect to the router wirelessly.

Unable to connect to internet

The IP address 192.168.0.1 you use with your browser is not to get into the Dlink WEB page, it is to get into the DLink router configuration, to set up the router and wireless security eg. network SSID, turn off SSID brocast, WEP/WAP encryption, MAC address filtering etc.

Ssid network

The SSID setting is part of the DLink wireless setting.
To configure the DLInk wireless/router from new, you may need to connect the DLink wireless/router the laptop with a 10baseT cable, then open your browser and enter the URL address http:/192.168.0.1 The default login = admin, no password required. Unless you have previously altered the default settings.
You should configure the DLink wireless with a different SSID from the default one and set it up with encryption preferrably WAP.
You should also setup a password for the admin login, so to prevent someone from hacking into your wireless/router to change your settings and steal your Internet access.
You would need to setup the wireless card in the laptop to have the same wireless/router settings eg. SSID and encryption.
You can now remove the LAN cable and connect to the Internet by wireless.
All this information is in your manual.
