When you're pressing any of the buttons on your DISH Network remote, is there any mode button such as TV, SAT, or AUX,that lights up? To provide further explanation- when you are trying to change the channel up or down, or power on the receiver, as you press any of those buttons the "SAT" mode button should temporarily light up & then turn off to let you know the remote is in the correct mode to control your satellite receiver, this button is in the upper left hand corner of your remote that says "DISH Network" at the bottom. If this is not happening, then I would suggest replacing the current batteries with fresh batteries, if the problem continues with no mode buttons lighting up, then we will need to replace your remote. If you haven't resolved this issue already and need me to order you a new remote for you, please feel free to contact me direct & I will be more then happy to get a new remote ordered for you! Email- [email protected]. I hope this helps!

My lg tv displays V3.10.1 an does not respond to manual or remote control

It is showing the software/firmware version--seems you may have by accident gotten into a place you should not be in---best answer is get LG on the phone with model number and the V3 information---I doubt anyone here will resolve this issue instantly.

Remote will not respond. New batteries installed. I can change channels at receiver, but the remote will not do anything, even though all the led's on the remote will show lite when pushed. 6.4 ir/uhf...

Is the remote for TV 1 or TV 2. If it is for TV 2, the blue tab with the number 2 should already be on the bottom of the remote. If it's for TV 1, you need to remove the blue tab from the bottom of the remote and flip the tab over (should be a green tab with only a green 1 on it). Once you change the tab, see if you can change channels. If you can't, follow the instructions below.

At your TV 1 location on your receiver, press the System Info button to display the System Info on your TV. At the bottom of the screen, you should see Primary and Secondary Remote Addresses. Make a note of the remote addresses. With the new remote, press the record button. If this is the TV 2 remote (blue tab on the bottom), the secondary number may change; if TV 1 remote (green tab on the bottom), the primary address should change. Exit from all the menus on the TV screen till you are back to your TV picture - then try the remote.

If the above steps do not work, try the instructions below to manually program the remote to the receiver.
  • Remote to the receiver:
    1. Go to System Info screen.
    2. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
    3. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
    4. Press the pound (#) button.
    5. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful, the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.

The TV should momentarily produce a sound and lighting effect,, and displaying on the dark screen a light blue screen. The initial signal response from remote control to TV indicates devices are functioning as required. Additional buttons on the remote controll could perform functions of several available.
The remote control has master button, menu on which every additional function is deriveable. I used to get OSD on the TV with my receiver, but it has gone and I don't know what setting to do to get it back. It is a Pioneer VSX-917V-s/-K. Thanks

did you happen to change to cable connecting the Reciever to the TV to an HDMI?

please note that the OSD will not appear if you have connected using the HDMI output to your TV.
Use component, S-video or composite connections for system setup.

Program name and time displayed across top of screen and I can't get it off.

Not sure which sony tv you have. Assuming its the tv and not a cable box or satellite receiver, there is a usually a button marked display on sony remote. That should clear any On Screen Displays.
