HP Deskjet 1100c Printer. Stops printing

HP Deskjet 1100c Printer.
Stops printing about 25% into print job on A3. It is connected to a PC with 1 Gig RAM, running Windows 2000 Pro, and worked OK up till 2 weeks ago

    Thanks for the prompt response. I should have mentioned perhaps that I already tried removing and then re-installing the printer, and downloading new drivers. The HP website says that the latest drivers are already included in Win 2000. Not had any power glitches either.

Hmmm..that's a little weird..did you have any power glitches recently? you may need a new fresh set of drivers for that printer..

Although you have selected the paper size A3 your printer HP Deskjet show unexpected paper size.....
1. clean the carriage area ...........
2. change the carriage sensor....... If not solved
3. you need to replace carriage unit.

Error in A3 print
I had the same problem. Didn't find the answer. I removed the HP 1280 driver and installed HP 1220 Driver. It worked. It prints all the sizes perfectly. What is in name if we get the prints on A3 size. whether it is HP 1280 or HP 1220 :)
