If your going to print in color may it be just red or blue. You really need all of the cartridges for it to work. Because for the printer to come up with those colors. It would need all three colors Cyan, Magenta and Yellow to come up with the any color, in your problem, Blue and Red.
The problems you checked are indicated by a blinking red light (it denotes minor errors). A solid red light usually means that one of the toners is exhausted. If you look in the task bar, there's a little blue S; double click on this to launch Smart Panel, our monitoring software. It will tell you the specific error message.
If one of the toners is showing empty already, are you sure this wasn't a used model or possibly a display unit that people would have been printing on?
It is a color laser printer.it has 4 toner cartridge(1)black(2)magenta(3)cyan(4)yellow all cartridge is missing or toner finished. Please purchase full set toner. All toner cartridge has a image sensor. When toner is run out then it is out of work.
You have to disassemble the printer and clean the prisms inside the black box within the printer. The prism for the red and yellow colors are near the bottom and face up, so they easily collect dust buildup, thereby causing weak or striped printing of these colors.
Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow Supplies Status lights
These lights indicate when a print cartridge is low (the light is on), or empty or missing (the
light blinks). The lights also indicate when a non-HP print cartridge is installed (the light
blinks and the Attention light is on).
