Well tubing broken and pump fallen back into shaft

Hi, I have a 120m well and it was not working very well so a company came and said it was the below ground pump. They tried to pull up the pump but after 60m the tubing broke and the pump fell into the well. Is there any way to retrieve the situation or do I need a new well sunk?

Water sprays out and runs on floor during final spin cycle.

Sounds like a clog, either the drain tube, drain hose, or drain pump/diverter valve.
  1. If your drain hose is connected to a drain tube/pipe, it's possible there's a clog in the plumbing somewhere. Running a snake through the drain tube should fix this
  2. Disconnect the drain hose and look for a blockage. Sometimes lint, or paper will become lodged inside the hose and water will back up
  3. The drain pump/diverter valve is a common place for a backup to occur. To inspect the drain pump, unplug the machine and disconnect the drain hose from the drain tube. Put down a blanket or towel and tilt the machine forward. At the bottom of the machine you will see the drain pump with a hose connected by a clamp. Using pliers, disconnect the clamp. There may also be a mounting screw holding the drain pump in place. Unscrew the mounting screw. Now the pump should pull away freely. Using a small flathead screwdriver or tweezers or even needlenose pliers, you should be able to dig out any obstruction. Typically paper that has fallen out of pockets will get stuck in the drain pump forcing water in the other direction, causing it to spill out onto the floor.
Below is a helpful video to both check and remove a drain pump / diverter valve.

Oiler works sporadically mostly not at all. Are there any adjustments available for the 440 e series chainsaw?

The oil pump is fairly basic, the sprocket turns a nylon gear on the back, this in turn turns the pump shaft that runs at right angles to it, it not only rotates but has a throw, this is achieved by the pump shaft having an acentric slot in the nylon which runs in a steel pin fitted in the crankcase, make sure the pin has not fallen out. The pump is non adjustable, there is a filter situated in the bottm of the crankcase/tank, it is a twist fit to remove, it can be seen on the drive side between the tank/ crankcase and the fuel tank, it is grey in colour.

I have rebuilded my fd 35 cabstar, new crank, new oil pump, etc. The engine runs properly, but no oil comes, whil;e pump is ok?

i dont remember if the oil pump runs off the distrubiter if it does there should be a shaft that runs the oil pump either that or the oil pick up tube may have came loose or fallen off.

Well tubing broken and pump fallen back into shaft

How much of pipe in well and how deep is water level. You may be able to install a new one above it. well casing will have a tag with depth of well and how much pipe did you get out of well that broke off it. It not a good thing but you have to have water. only thing you will have a pump down in the well. Option 1

option 2 a well driller maybe be able to retrive it for you. That would be the first to ask them .

Tornado wide area commercial vacuum

Hi There,

Your Tornado Wide Area vacuum cleaner is actually manufacturered by Powr-Flite. The two companies are sister companies, and owned by the same parent company Tacony.

It sounds like to me that your belt may have broken, or fallen off of the motor shaft. This may explain why the roller brush is not spinning. There is also a reset switch on the machine, on the top (item # 41 in diagram below), you should check the reset switch first. Try pushing down on this switch to see if this will restart your brushes.

If it doesn't, here are instructions on how to open up the belt, and inspect it or replace it if it's broken:

If you need to purchase a new belt, you may contact Powr-Flite at 1-800-880-2913, and request them to send you part number 19802.

Here's links to the instruction manual, and parts diagram for your Tornado, which is the same exact machine as the Powr-Flite model PF2030:

Owners Manual & Parts Diagram

If you have any follow up questions, please don't hesitate to ask using the add a comment form here on the Fixya repair page. If you have any problems ordering from them directly, feel free to contact us, and we'd also be able to provide any parts for you.

My 125dt dosent sart or kick sart, the gear inside have a bushing in shafting?or it was broken..

Common cause of kickstarter not engaging(I am guesing that this is your problem) is a broken spring on the kickstart mechanism,or that the kickstart idler gear cerclip has fallen off(this allows the idler gear to move forward on the shaft & thus won't allow the kickstart gear to transfer drive to the clutch hub).Remove clutch cover, put kickstart lever back on shaft spline, activate kickstart lever by hand(easier with sparkplug removed+in neautral)as kickstart lever moves down 90 degrees the gear on the kickstarter mechanism should move out to engage with gear next to it(kickstart idler gear). If the gear on the kickstarter mechanism dosn't move outward it has a broken spring on the kickstart mechanism.replace spring and all should work.(if the spring is broken you need to try find the broken piece with a magnetic pick-up tool as the broken part can cause further damage if not removed)To do this job I highly recommend you first purchase a workshop manual which will guide you through these processes. After all a manual is the most valuable tool in your tool kit.
