A code book usually comes with a new remote.
If you have a used universal remote a Google search can find user manuals if you use the brand name and model number.
Some remotes have the web address printed on them.
In addition some of the newer universal remotes have simple search procedures that don't require you to know what the code is.

Tries the tv unplug/replug the tv back for about an hour later for the tv power to reset itself.At this time u will able to eject the DVD disc out.Don't tries to used the tv intergrated DVD player anymore.The tv intergrated DVD player laser head and the spin motor for the dvd disc spinner it is defective now.Buy a portable cheap or a moderate unit of a outer DVD player and hook up to the tv AV input.Play it through the tv input video 1,2,3 u should have a DVD player capatablities again.

does it have HDMI INPUT/OUTPUT? OR Audio video input/output? First you must have a cable for either of those two. HDMI (from the lcd tv) to HDMI (vcr/dvd combo).
audio/video input (from the lcd) to audio/video output (from the vcr).

Try using the power cord from your PC. NEMA5-15P to IEC C13.

I have same problem with a 7 month old Toshiba 26LV610U LCD TV/DVD combo.

Not worth repairing,just get a seperate DVD player hook to the tv.It very cheap these day.

You should try matching up the amperage (A) and voltage (12V) with a universal adapter. You can find at radio shack or walmart. Make sure you get as close to possible to correct amps, anything more than the correct amps can fry your tv. Volts doesn't have to be exact

Try 1061 or 1020 hope it works.
