To put machine into test mode: Press and hold keylock, then press and hold start button. Hold both in until machine beeps (if you have display, it will show all symbols). Press power button- display should now show HO. Press start button until LD shows in display- this tests lid motors. Activate lid motors by pressing keylock button- if you open drawer about 3 inches, you should see lid come down. Pressing keylock again will raise lid. Raise and lower lid several times by pressing keylock button to ensure lid is working properly- if not, lid motors need replacing. Good luck!!

Our fisher and paykel dishdrawer won't wash. It comes up with F1 and flashing light on control panel.

the dynamo dishwashing stuff has caused foaming which reached the base of the dishdrawer unit causing the flood switch to trip. This gives F1 error.
Not sure how much foaming has occured.

Best to turn off power and take power cable out from socket. then empty the drawer using towels. pull out the bottom drawer and wait a day or so to let the foam disappear from the bottom of dishwasher (under the bottom drawer). Connect the power and see if F1 had gone. If not, you need more work. Post a comment based on the above suggestion and I will guide you further if required. Always use Finish dishwasher power only (recommended quantity) as the drawers are small and don't need much detergent.

My husband put toilet bowel cleaner in the dishdrawers last night to get rid of the hard water deposits. This morning he tried it again and the dishdrawers are constantly beeping and a red light is on. ...

Sounds like an extreme case of oversudsing! The flood switch located at the back on the bottom pan under the bottom draw. To remove bottom draw you need to push the runner clips in on each side and slide back. The runner clips are located on each side at the front just behind the front panel. Once the draw is out, Remove the excess water from the pan (Throughly) and presto!

I have a single draw Fisher and Paykel dishwasher. I stupidly put washing up liquid in the dishwasher which resulted in a F1 problem. Water started leaking under the draw and onto my floor. I turned the...

ok , F1 means your flood switch has activated, which is underneath the drawer. now they show the F1 fault because of 2 reasons.1st there is still water underneath drawer causing switch to activate. 2nd your activator board which has the flood switch attached is faulty reading your posting it has been about 15 days since the fault happened. the water should have dryed around switch by now. if there is power to the unit and it is still coming up with F1 fault then possibly you have damaged the activator board. please reply and tell me if you have power on or off at the present time. to fix the problem it is alittle bit involved but i can guide you thru it when you reply .good luck

The washing cycle will not start. has power and the drain cycle works

Sounds like the anti flood system activated that 1) switches water inlet off 2) puts outlet pump on. This is caused by water leaks to the bottom of washer that activates the polystireene float / micro switch. Any water must be dried and any leak repaired before the machiene functions correctly. A partly blocked pipe also causes this type of problem

Miele WT2670 message on screen "waterproof system activated". How do I reset?

I've just had this fault on this model, Its caused by a leak of water into the tray at the bottom, which activates a sensor to shut the water in flow off and thus prevent a flood. The fix is as for a posting by halldor to a question about the w4146 - ie.
Turn off and unplug, drain by the filter plug, lean the machine forward - the water flows out the bottom, plug in and it should work.
You do need to establish the cause of the leak first. Mine was a draw cord on some trousers dangling out of the door, thus preventing a proper seal, the water dribbled down the front and into the tray. Miele stated it could only be fixed by their service mechanics - I'd have had to wait 10 days!

RE: Fischer paykal F1 code

F1 fault means the flood switch on the base of the dishwashers has been activated.
nine times out of ten its the lid motors.
You can remove the two kick plates on the bottom of the dishwasher.
Dry out the water in the base with a sponge.
only one draw will be leaking water??
This allows you to use the second draw until a serviceman shows up.
Dry the base out A.S.A.P, because you have a electronic board that sits on the base. cheers

Fisher and paykel dishwasher

F1 is a flood code meaning excessive amounts of water have collected on the bottom catch basin.
If a flood condition is detected, both draws will activate the drain motors and flash F1.
Remove the bottom drawer by pulling the lock pins on each lower side corner. Slide down and remove front cover. Release the drawer slide clips and remove drawer then dry the catch basin.
There are three possible scenarios for this error code;
1. Defective lid motor(s)...Each drawer has two lid motors, attached to the cabinet on either side of the drawer, that pull the lid tight to the drawer when the cycle is started. (this was very common on early models)
2. Something too tall was placed in the drawer preventing the lid from closing completely.
3. (only seen this once) the drain hose developed a crack causing water to leak only when draining.

Fisher and Paykel dd605 The flood switch has tripped and is showing "F1 with spanner" on the display turned of for 24 hr still there pumps just running . this problem happened aftr my son put cloths...

F1 is a flood code meaning excessive amounts of water have collected on the bottom catch basin. If a flood condition is detected, both draws will activate the drain motors and flash F1. Remove the bottom drawer and dry the catch basin.

TURN OFF POWER TO MACHINE
Remove the front panel by removing two "pins". There is one on each side of the drawer, and they are at the bottom and circular with a recessed tab - like an inverted slotted screw.
You just pull the tabs straight out. After that you pull the front down and out.
Drawer is removed by depressing the tab on each side and sliding the support guide back.
Use a towel to remove excess water pooling, then a hair dryer to speed up the evaporation process of the remaining water.
