Most foils and cutter needs to be changed once a year, if you have a tough beard you should replace it them sooner. You should change the foil and the cutter at the same time because as your cutter gets duller, your foil gradually gets thinner as well.

The problem is likely cause by a buildup of whisker particles keeping it from locking into place.
The first thing I suggest is to remove the foils from the frame that they go into. Once removed, thoroughly clean the foil frame and foils and then reinstall them.
If this doesnt solve your problem, there may be a defect with the screens or wear to the frame that the foils snap into. You will have to determing which you need to replace.

Hello Robert, It sounds like the foil screen might have been damaged and is causing poor shaving performance. Typically, a screen will get small holes or tears in it after providing good service for some years, however, these very thin screen foils, can get damaged other ways too.

The best way to restore the best shaving performance is to replace both the foil screen AND the cutter head block (cutter head) as it could be possible that the cutter blades have become damaged or nicked and have caused the foil screen to become damaged, as a result.

I would contact www.electricshaver.com and see if you can purchase a new set of the cutter block head and the screen foil for your particular Braun shaver model. As the Braun 360 is a tradename used on a couple of different model numbers, you really need the four (4) digit model number in order to locate the correct replacement parts.

As you are no doubt aware, replacing the cutter head and foil screen is the best and simplest way to restore an electric shaver to a like new shaving condition and much less expensive than replacing the entire shaver.

Hello MrandMrsInger! You can purchase a new replacement foil for your Braun 370 at the link I've provided below. Basically, you'll be getting a new cutter block and foil for it, as the foils are no longer provided separately.

Braun, now owned by Gillette, discovered that many folks would buy just the new screen (foil) and it would get torn/damaged by a nick in the cutter block blades, so they packaged these wear items as a set to eliminate those very common problems. I had it happen to mine several years ago, so I know why they made the change.
