When i make a call on the skype...the other person sees the pink video of mine ...plus i see myself pink too...what can i do to solve it...My Os win7..

This might be an issue with your web cam settings or the web cam itself. Try going through the options of the web cam to see if there are any settings making the web cam display everything pink. If not then try the web cam in another computer (I'm assuming you have a desktop with an external web cam) see if the video is still pink. If it is then there is an issue with your web cam if not then it is an issue with the settings on your computer

In the event that you are using a laptop with a built in web cam you might want to check if you still have a warranty to get the web cam repaired.

Hope this helps

When I try to start my web cam I keep getting this message about web cam driver did not work restart camera or computer. I have restart my computer too many time and still does not work.

It sounds like you need to update your driver for the web cam.
Step 1: Go to device manager
Step2: Find the web cam in the device list
Step3: Open Properties
Step4: Have the device manager search for driver.

Other option:
with the web cam unplugged from computer, in device manager uninstall the web cam, restart computer, then plug web cam into computer and let OS find and install drivers.

My webcam won't let me take pictures .. What do i do so i can take them ?

In order to use your web cam and take pictures follow these steps :

- Check if your web cam is working or not ( when you turn on the web cam do you get the power light on or not)

- If the web cam is working fine if it is not then you can check the cables, unplug it and replug it if you are using an external cam on a desktop computer.

- Uninstall the web cam software from add and remove programs from control panel.

- reinstall the web cam software / utility.
you can do this using the disc which you have got when you bought the web cam.

If you don't have the disc you can go to the manufacturers web page and you can download the software and driver from there.
Must ensure that you select the correct serial number of your web cam when you do this.

How to disable the hp internal web cam so I can use an external web cam? Thank you!

Just connect the external web-cam.
Then, open the software that uses a web-cam, and configure it to select the external web-cam, rather than "defaulting" to the internal web-cam.

I don't know what kind of cam I have?

1. Connect your web cam
  • Attach all power cords (e.g. laptop and/or web cam).
  • Plug your USB cam directly into your computer (do not use any external USB hubs). Turn your cam on
  • As long as your web cam and computer hardware are working, Windows should detect it!
2. Open Device Manager
  • For Vista
=> Click Control Panel. If you have Control Panel Classic View, click Device Manager
=> Click Control Panel. If you have Control Panel Home View, click System and Maintenance->Device Manager
  • For XP
=> Click Control Panel->System, then Hardware tab, then Device Manager button
3. Find your web cam in Device Manager
  • Understanding Device Names
=> Windows provides user-friendly device names to accomodate us humans. As far as Windows is concerned, the device name is simply a comment!
=> It's those cryptic Device Identification strings that really identify a device
=> Device Manager displays whatever device name it happens to find in the device driver
...==> If Windows finds NO device driver, your web cam may be named “Unknown” or "Other" device
...==> If Windows finds the WRONG device driver you may see your web cam with the WRONG device name
  • How to find your web cam
=> While your web cam is connected, look through all of Device Manager for devices with a yellow icon (probably a yellow question mark)
=> Look if a device category Other Devices. Also, be certain to expand the USB category to check all devices listed under it
=> Your web cam will appear as a device with a yellow icon (probably a question mark)
=> Click on thumbnail to see the full sized image
How to verify the device you found is your web cam
=> Your web cam device will only appear in Device Manager when the web cam is powered on and connected
=> Disconnect your web cam. Verify the device you had found is no longer displayed in Device Manager
4. Find your web cam's Hardware Ids
  • In Device Manager, select your web cam device, rt click Properties. Click Details tab
  • Select Hardware Ids from the pull-down. You'll see a list of one or more Hardware Id strings

I need skydude cam driver

Ensure the web cam is secured to your personal computer (PC). Most web cams use a "plug and play" principle. You plug the web cam in; it operates.

Install the required software for the web cam to operate. This may involve placing a CD in one of the drives, or alternatively, downloading the software from a host site.

Always reboot the computer after installing new software.

Click on the desktop icon or the program icon to start the program. If the program is correctly functioning, the web cam will start producing an image of its view on the desktop. Adjust the web cam for a clear picture and the view you want.

Most web programs will have a icon for "take picture." Left click on that icon or button. The web cam, like a normal camera, will then "freeze" that image and place it in a photo library.

Open the photo library and examine the image just taken. Congratulations, you just took a photograph with your web cam.
