My tv is cutting off by it self after about 15 mins. It's a 52 inch projection tv. Model #z52s28 serial #511-72320481. It also has a orange light that on with the green power light. The orange light has a light symbol over it

Sounds like your lamp is overheating...possibly because the fan is not workign or clogged...or the thermal sensor has is failing...google both topics

I suspect that you may have cracked solder connections on the deflection PC board. This is the module that has a red wire coming from the top of a transformer and leads to the front of the tv. I would start with a cleaning of the components, a soft paintbrush and vacuum work well for this. Remove the power deflection module carefully, turn it over and look for cracked solder connections on this PC board. especially near the high voltage transformer. Use a soldering pencil type iron and small diameter solder to correct the issue.

Probably something wrong with the lamp. Buy a replacement.

I would stay away from that set. The LSB is whats most likely causing the problem and most parts are no longer available for that model.

It sounds like the CP150 and or the CP114/120 capacitors need to be replaced, they cost around 3 dollars each and can be found at Radio shack or you can order them from http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/ and they will send instructions with them.
