Hi- There are a few on either side of the control panel assembly, under the covers. They like to hide them. Some models have connectors for the wiring harness to top, so you can remove whole assy. to work on it. Helps to have somebody hold top while plugging/unplugging though. Pay close attention to which wires go where when replacing element.  Let me know if this info helps- have more if ya get stuck! Thanks- Ed

If you need to replace one of your surface burner assemblies, the following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3692628-surface_burner_replacement_electric

The screws the hold the cooktop in place are usually located uder the the bottom front edge. You will need to open the oven door to see them. Use care not to lean on the oven door or you can cause damage to the door springs. If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

My front right cooktop burner igniter on MGR6772BDS Gemini stove. I can see that the spark is occurring well below the tip of the igniter so I suspect a cracked igniter. How do I replace it when...

Yes, agreed; bad design. If you break of the heads of the screws (2 on most burners, 3 on the large one), then you have to replace the burner! You can try using a rust-buster lubricant, but to be honest, I have not had much luck with that. Good luck!

How to remove the front of a ftat top range

see this guide and fix it. God bless you
Instructions
    • 1 Disconnect the power to the stove by turning off the breaker in your fuse box. Test the stove to ensure that power has been disconnected by turning on a working burner and making sure it does not get hot.
    • 2 Open the oven door.

    • 3 Remove the two bolts from the underside of the front of the cooktop, located just above the door jam, facing upwards.
    • 4 Lift the entire cooktop to access the burners, which are attached to the bottom of the cooktop.
    • 5 Remove the two screws from the brackets that secure the burner that you would like to remove, then remove that burner.
    • 6 Disconnect the wires connected to the original burner, then plug them into the new burner. The wires can be removed by simply pulling them out of the terminals. Be sure to mark which wires go to which terminal.
    • 7 Align the grooves on the top of the new burner with the grooves on the bottom of the glass cooktop, then secure the new burner using the brackets and screws that you originally removed.
    • 8 Lower the cooktop, then re-secure it with the two bolts that were removed from the bottom. Close the oven door.
    • 9 Restore power to the stove to complete the installation.

My Maytag Gemini Gas Range works fine as far as the four burners, the bake on the top and bottom oven, but the broiler on the top oven does not work. Is this a pilot issue? I really appreciate the help,...

If the broiler burner is not coming on it may be a bad ignitor or the ignitor may not be getting power. Observe the ignitor when you turn in on ans see if it glows at all. If not then test for power to the ignitor if you have power and not glowing or lighting replace the ignitor. If it glows but does not light the ignitor may just be weak replace it.

Maytag glass top stove

Hello, open the oven door and stick your head as if into the oven...look up and you will see screws securing the top. Remove the screws and raise the stovetop. The burners are now visible. All that is required is to unscrew the support for the burner and pull the coil out of the socket. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Problem w/burners & lights after self clean

You may want to re-seat the right two cooking elements, in case there is poor electrical contact. When you have them removed, clean the contacts with denatured 91% alcohol and a Q-tip. The removal procedure follows.
First, unplug the range.
LIFT–UP PORCELAIN COOKTOP
To lift:  When cool, grasp the cooktop front
edge.  Gently lift up until the two support rods
snap into place.
To lower:  Hold the cooktop front edge and
carefully push back on each support rod to
release.  Then lower the top into place.
COIL ELEMENTS
➢When an element is on, it will cycle on
and off to maintain the heat setting.
➢Coil elements are self-cleaning. Do not
immerse in water.
To remove:  When cool, raise element.  Carefully pull out and away from receptacle.
Check them for damage. They do wear out.
To replace:  Insert element terminals into receptacle.  Guide the element into place. Press down on the outer edge of element until it sits level on drip bowl.
COIL ELEMENT SURFACE
➢ On Canadian models, the two front elements will not operate during self-clean.To prevent the risk of electric shock or fire, never line drip bowls with aluminum foil.

If that does work, you may have a faulty control panel. In that case, call Maytag at the number below.

Gemini Range Dual Burner

Unfortunately, you cannot repair one element of a dual burner. It all comes as one unit. When one portion of a dual or triple element goes bad, you must replace the whole element. I believe the part number is 1032746 and runs about $70. You will have to lift the glass top to access the burner elements. If you decide to pursue this on your own follow these steps: 1. Unplug range and/or turn off main breaker. 2. Open oven door to access screws under front edge of cooktop. Remove two screws and the top should tilt up. 3. The top will not stay up on it's own, so you will need some assistance holding it up. Some ranges have a couple of disconnect plugs that you can unplug, so you remove the entire top and lay it somewhere to work on. If this is the case with yours (as I suspect it is), lay some soft towels down on the kitchen table or counter top and lay the cooktop upside down. This will make it much easier to work on. 4. Remove affected element by disconnecting the wires first. You may want to write down how they came off, so you can be sure to reconnect them in the right order. 5. Remove mounting brackets holding element in place. Pay particular attention to the numbering scheme on the bottom of the element and where the brackets are mounted. The new element usually doesn't come with new brackets which means you have to take the brackets off the old element and put them on the new element. Make sure you install them in the same numbered holes as they were located before. 6. Reconnect wires and reinstall cooktop, making sure you reconnect the disconnect plugs if equipped. Now, be careful when working on the cooktop while it is upside down. Make sure you don't apply too much pressure on the glass or you could crack it. Also, use extreme care NOT to touch the element surface as the oils from you hands can cause hot spots and effectively ruin it. The bake light material in which the element is mounted is also very fragile. DO NOT put to much pressure on it or it may crack and break. Once you get the cooktop reinstalled and power reapplied, op test it to make sure BOTH elements are working. It is normal to see a little bit of sparking at first with new elements and/or an odor. Test the entire range of the element and make sure it regulates like it should. I hope this helps you.
