Open Palm desktop, menu Tools-> Options, the General tab shows you and lets you change where the data files are.
There are really only three main places user files go in Vista:
Hi,
Intellisync sometimes tends to give problem with the Palm and the pc sync . You can try an alternative for the same like Easysync from Lotus itself.
You can read through the following links for more info

Thanks for using Fixya

Hi,
How did you move from Zire to TX ? Simply plug-in and sync?
Try this:
- hard reset TX
- locate backup folder under palm desktop folder tree
- rename to backup_old
- sync, select old id. This will bring back PIMs (Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Memos) but no settings nor programs
- reinstall applications one by one AFTER making sure they are compatible with the target device.
Good luck!
And Thanks.
Unfortunately, the answer is that this device is not compatible with Hotsync versions newer than 4.1 and the Palm requires a newer version.
Here is the complete answer from IBM.
Lotus Organizer only synchronizes with Palm handheld units using HotSync
version 4.1.
The Palm Tungsten T5, Palm Tungsten E3, Palm TX, and the Treo 650 ship
with a new version of HotSync version 6.01. This newer version of
HotSync is not compatible with EasySync for Organizer. In addition, the
Treo 700 series phone uses the Windows Mobile 5 operating system which
is not supported.
NOTE: These handhelds cannot be
synchronized with a version of HotSync Manager prior to 6.0, due to
their new NVFS flash memory architecture. This is different from
previous Palm PDAs which used conventional volatile RAM and HotSync
Manager 4.0.
Some customers report success using Intellisync Handheld Edition from www.pumatech.com.
Other customers also report good results using Laplink's PDAMover at www.laplink.com.
The information regarding "Palm TX is locked" indicates that the security features are enabled. If this is the case, try disabling those.
The information regarding the information still being on the Palm after the reset indicates that the Palm did not actually reset completely. This may prevent any "clean" syncing.
Pardon my question here, but, do you have the conduit set to have the Lotus Organizer to overwrite the Palm?
I will continue to investigate other options so, let me know if you make any progress with the things mentioned here.
Palm uses Hotsync to make transfers.
Go to the Palm.com site and download it. It looks like a circle in blue/red.
This is where the conduit settings are.
The organizer file is created when a calender or other item is created on the Palm.
Make a test entry and retry the sync after you have installed the Hotsync software. Hotsync is not the same as Intellisync.
I hope this helps you.

Thank you for clearling up my problem using Intellisync and Lotus Organizer 6.0. I removed Intellisync from my computer. I went to the LapLink site and downloaded PDAsync 4 since it claims to be able to synchronize with Lotus Organizer 6. I did a hard reset on my Palm TX although afterwards, my Contacts information was still there. I tried to set up PDAsync 4 so that Lotus Organizer 6.0 would be the source of my Calendar and Datebook entiries. I got the following error message: "Default Organizer file not found. Use Organizer to create at least one file and try again." I'm not sure what this means since the setup of PDAsync4 appeared to have the right data file for Organizer. When I did a full synschornization, the report indicated that it transferred the Calendar files, I went to "Calendar" and there was nothing there but the same screen just showing the date and view options. Again the whole PDA TX was locked. Doing a soft reset did not correct the problem. Please advise as to how to solve and/or get around this problem as without the Calendar function, the Palm TX is useless to me. Other than Calendar, the other Palm TX functions seem to be working. Please help. Thank you!
The security features are not even turned on. Calendar is the only application where data is not transferred. In PDAsync 4, there does not appear to be any place where a choice is made between Palm Desktrop and the sync program. If I do a hard reset and no sync following it., the Calendar application appears to work properly even though there is no data in it. I would really appreciate it if you could identify the source and nature of this conflict which is preventing the transfer of this information and the crashing of the Palm after the sync. Please advise a.s.a.p. Thanks
What is the backup folder called? Please advise a.s.a.p. Thanks!
Where do I find the backup folder and what is its name? I also installed PDAsync 4 since it is supposed to work with Lotus Organizer 6.0. I am trying to set it up to have Organizer as the conduit for Calendar, but I get the following eror message: Default Organizer file not found. Use Organizer to create at least one file and try again." What type of file are they talking about? Also, when I press the "Synchronize" button in PDAsunc, I get the following error message: "Unable to find HotSync. Please restart HotSync. If this doesn;t work, please reinstall HotSync and try again." I don't know why I get this message since I assumed HotSync was always on. Please respond a.s.a.p. Thank you.
