All the replacement burners I see are the H pattern,mine is straight and I don't see one listed.where do I find the right burner for my magnum 240 grill

Turn power off and isolate the fuel line/lines. Disconnect flare fitting on fuel line to the burner assembly. Open burner assembly...either the primary controller or ignition transformer should hinge open with a few screws on the other side. Should be a locking nut on the fuel line to the burner and electrodes...loosen and pull burner/nozzle/electrodes. I Don't recommend removing the electrodes if you don't know how to space them correctly, so unless you have a nozzle removal socket/ratchet, then use a deep well socket & back it up with a large pair of channel locks. Thread pattern is normal...LLRT. When replacing nozzle, Make sure you have the same gallon rated, spray pattern (hollow, semi, solid etc) , & degree (angle).

If it's an electric range check the fuses
Also the wiring going into the burners could need replacing mine over heated and crumbled so had to replace Make sure all connectors are tight.
Make sure burners are not burnt out and cracked.

If you have the Cal Flame burners that are straight, cast brass burners, there is a slot under neath the burners on the back end of the burners. This slot allows the flame to move from the left side of the burners to the right side of the burners. This slot in the burner will corrode shut and not allow the flame to move from the left to the right side. Sometimes you can scrape out the corrosion, and sometimes you can not. If you can't get the slot open, then you have to replace the burners. Cal Flame burners also have a reputation for warping.

with a model number to know exactly how power is supplied to the surface burners its going to be hard to let ya know anything definate...but do ya have knobs that ya turn to turn on the surface burners? if yes knobs..their will be terminals on the switch marked L1/L2 on those 240vac should be there all the time when turning the knob onto high on terminals marked H1&H2 should be 240vac to the burner

if it has the touch button to turn on the surface burners 240 vac into board all the time ..4 individual outbound power places (one for each burner) and the one for that burner also should have 240 vac when set to high

in either case if 240 vac out to burner the burner is bad
if 240vac into switch/board and not out..switch/board bad

The stove has 4 burner switches with a # 2 terminal on each switch. This contact is similiar on all four switches. One of the switches # 2 contact is stuck. The burner switch should disconnect both legs of the 240 volt circuit, one leg through the # 2 terminal and one leg through the thermostat built into the burner switch. Disconnect the pilot lamp wire on each switch unti the light goes off and then replace that burner switch. This should correct the problem

That burner should be identical to the one you have now. The wrong burner at the wrong temperature can cause your glass top to shatter. Never accept a close fit with these since the original part is so easy to get. It sounds like someone is trying to sell you an after market, non standard burner, and you should send it back for the right one.
