Acoustic solutions lcdw22dvd95f. tuner problem

Acoustic solutions lcdw22dvd95f. The TV will not pick up any aerial signal. The tv is a year old but has hardly been used. Was working after the digital switch so that doesn't explain it. Plugging a different tv in proves the aerial works. retuning the tv doesn't work. It seems like there may be a problem with the internal tuner but i've never come across this sort of problem before.
All suggestions would be welcome

I have a Magnavox 15MF400T/37 LCD TV operating with a cabel connection. As of yesterday it has no functions but when I turn it on I get a message that says Attention No Signal. I have checked the cable...

Some of the newer TV's dont turn on if there is no input signal. Try a DVD player and see if that works. If it does, then the issue is most likely with the cable jack on the TV, which may need to be replaced..

The picture doesn't hold. The picture shows just snow on the tv.

VCRs are analogue. So their tuners won't pick up digital TV signals, and their output from the aerial socket is analogue too. You'll have to make sure your TV is on the analogue TV tuner and then tuned to the VCR output channel if you want to use the aerial connection for viewing. It's probably a lot simpler though to use the VCR's AV output to the TV.

If you connect a TV receiver (Aerial/cable/satellite) to the AV input on the VCR, then switch the VCR to that AV input, you will see and be able to record programmes.

Philips dvdr 3380

The dvdr3380 has an analogue tuner. It doesn't pick up digital TV.

Your TV picks up digital, but it isn't designed like a TV/cable box to be a signal source to an external device.

If you want to make TV recordings on to the dvdr3380, then you need to buy a TV tuner box (Freeview/Freesat etc) and connect that to your aerial system and to the line input of the dvdr3380.

I have just moved house to Reading and previously was able to view freeview tv using my old indoor aerial in my 2nd floor flat in london. This indoor aerial didn't pick up any signals, not even analogue,...

You will need to have an outdoor aerial installed, the signal area you're now living in will not be a strong enough reception for an indoor aerial no matter how good or expensive. You could try the indoor aerial in different positions around the room especially by a window to try & pick up some other channels but the long term this will cause some of the programmes to break up or freeze. An aerial on the roof or in the attic will be your best solution to pick up all the digital channels on freeview.

Tv with built-in digital tuner not receiving any channels

Is your outdoor aerial a proper freeview aerial and are you in a strong or weak signal area. You can check here:http://www.stevelarkins.freeuk.com/freeview_digital_tv.htm
Also check your connections as the coax may be shorting with the braid or a bad connection.once checked try ordinary channels on upstairs tv and if ok retune all your digital channels.
This can be due to a few problems.Firstly make sure your aerial is pointing in the right direction as beam aerials attenuate(disregard) signals which are not pointing directly at the aerial.
make sure you are using good quality 75ohm cable i.e rg6 and connections are good and not shorting out.
The length of run of the cable will also affect the signal as will any splitters or joins in the cable.
If you know the signal is good in your area then it will be down to the aerial, cable terminations ,aerial position or a combination of these.
If the signal is poor you can either...Buy a high db gain arial which will amplify the signal and or a masthead preamp which will again boost the signal.
please note that if your aerial is not pointing in the correct direction then any boosting of a bad signal i.e ghosting...will only make it worse.
try starting from aerial direction then connections then a high gain aerial and or booster.

Tv-- signal strength normal but signal on all channels "blipping" down intermittently causing freezing of picture. Have replaced aerial with high gain antennae together with aerial cable and...

When ever the picture freezes intermittendly the problem is usually poor connection on the signal line (antenna or connection on tv) or poor reception. Could be the tuner if the tv has one.To eliminate the tuner possibility try anther tv set if possible.
If you still cannot figure out the problem, let me know what kind of set up you have connected to your tv set.
Do you have a satellite or cable box and if you have splitters.
