you cut cord have open circuit.your electrical cord has three wires neutral wire white wire black wires hot wire and bare wire for ground. if you cut either neutral wire or hot black wire in the electrical cord no power can flow to trimmer motor if you cut wire need to fix wire to get trimmer work again.
we have had this problem many times with our hair clippers
take off the outer blade and make sure it is all clean and there is no hair within the working when rebuilding add a little regular household oil
on the side of the trimmers there is usually a little plastic screw built into the casing this is the motor adjustment turn it until the trimmers become noisy then turn back half a turn so it lowers the noise out put hence the motor speed hopefully this should work
Sometimes the new blades from Andis are not sharpen enough to get that clean cut. also all trimmers need to be readjusted for power and alignment, plus sharpening the blade, it look like you need a complete sharpen & service on your Andis trimmer. check out Manny's Sharpening they have a Mail Order service, the service they provide is fast and they will sharpen make all the adjustment and give your trimmer more power and the blade will cut clean. They will even adjust the blade at your request on how you want that blade to be set at. Line Ups or Fade Cuts and even shave set. Manny's Sharpening been around for over 20 years and they have a very good rating on the net.

The trimmer line is pretty easy to attach. The trimmer line comes in pre-cut lengths, and is threaded in two places through loops on the spindle. (Two pre-cut trimmer lines are needed.)
