I am a computer repair person and i usually do not run into problems like this, but i cannot seem to figure it out. I am working on a Toshiba Satellite A205-S4607 and i just installed Windows 7 Ultimate x86 on it. Windows did not install an audio driver upon installation, so i did the usual solution to download a driver from toshiba's site made for this model, for windows 7. I have tried for hours to install using this, but i keep getting an error: Error Code: 0x00000017 and the audio driver will not install. I've tried running it in compatibility mode and redownloading it several times but with no luck. Can you help me?
Im sorry to tell you this mate but the driver needed is not supported by windows 7 its just one of those glitches that new OS's have give it time the driver will come out

Clarify this for me: If you go into the Device Manager, are there any exclamation marks in there? If so let me know where... Cause sometimes, it's a matter of all the drivers not being installed for the system board which in turn affects the ability to install the audio drivers... So let's see what is in the Device Manager... maybe take a snap shot and send to me in the reply post. CAH
