There is a main fuse located either close to where the AC cord enters the unit or under a PC board attached to the transformer. In any case, it is unlikely that the fuse is the real problem. Is there a standby light at all or nothing at all? If there is a standby light, the fuse is fine. If the unit won't stay on or turn on, the problem could be a bad 5V supply or shorted outputs.

Please update this with any additional symptoms and I'll provide additional details.

If the channel is blown and you have replaced the fuse your receiver needs a trip to the repair shop.

You most likely have shorted output transistors. This will cause the fuse to blow, and usually burns up a couple resistors as well.

Denon AVR-4806CI won't turn on.

you must check first the fuse in the power supply which getting blown.if the fuse blown with darkened black color that was mean there are other component parts in the power supply or in the board which get bad. if you know how to test component, check shorted bridge type diode as will as regulator ic and FET transistor in the power supply board.

My denon doesn't have any power when I plug it in, it doesn't make any sound, no lights come on. The outlet power strip does

if you have power on your ac outlets but your receiver is not responding i would try replacing any of the visible fuses that appear blown and one question did it have any issues at all leading to this failure? hope this is some form of support

I have a Denon receiver dra 545a that won't power on... how costly might it be to repair

Sounds like the power supply went out. Check inside to see if a fuse is blown. Replace it once (with the exact rating) and if it blows a second time, then you have something shorting out and can be costly to repair. DO NOT replace the fuse with a higher rating for it might cause a fire.

Needs to be reset or fuse blown. Take to repair shop, cover has to be taken off and fuse replaced. You could fix it yourself but the warranty won't be honored. Do it yourself electronic shop should have a replacement fuse, may have to be soldered in place. Repair shop, should cost around $30.00 to $45.00 to fix, price of fuse $4.00 to $6.00. Your choice.
