Look in your local paper for monitor repairer,
but as the cost of a new monitors has come down so much ,i would consider a new purchase as the refresh rates and picture quality are far better now than when your monitor was produced, also second hand prices are very low .

good luck
Terry

there are 3 capacitor in the power supply section on the circuit board, you will have to change all 3 capacitors the value of the 3 capacitor are 1000uf/10v and all 3 are soldered at one location, you need not search for those capacitors, if you see the component side of the board you will find those 3 capacitors either difused or burnt out.

Emachines monitor e15tr model 568 wont come on

Try to connect the monitor to the VGA-output port of some other desktop or notebook computer. If it does not work, then it needs repair or replacement. If the monitor still under warranty:
* standard 1-year warranty from Gateway
* extended warranty that you may have purchased from Gateway
* extended warranty that some credit-cards offer for items purchased with that card
* extended warranty that you may have purchased from the retailer

???

If not, it's probably cheaper to replace a 15" or 17" or 19" monitor
that it would be to try to repair it.

Monitor flickering

Monitor flickering can be one or several problems.
Depending upon the age of the unit and value, you should decide weather to repair it or replace it.!
More than likely, it is a problem in your power supply.
The capacitors in the supply will leak and most often crown.
If when you start unit after sitting for a while, it shows good and then after a few minutes it starts flickering, you can bet it is one or several capacitors in the supply.
This monitor is a 17 inch and not really worth the time and investment to repair, unless you have the technical skills to remove and replace electronic components.

HP f1703. After a power outage, when computer is

Hello,

It sounds like you have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitors will blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called capacitors overheating in the confined space of the monitor. If you are good at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix the problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should work fine. The capacitors do need to be installed with the correct + and - connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new one the same way. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $35 plus shipping.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

Repair

Good luck finding a replacement FBT; support for CRT monitors is fading fast.
That transformer is probably not the only thing that failed, the horizontal output transistor that drives it is likely bad too.
If you want to repair it, I also recommend you check any bipolar capacitor in that section as it may also have failed.

HP L1702 lcd monitor power on then goes off

There are 8 caps that need to be replaced on these monitors.
2x1000uf 16v
6x470uf 10v

It is an easy repair if you know how to do it. If not, then your local TV repair man can do it fairly cheaply and quickly.

Monitor

The power supply in this monitor has probably failed, but since HP doesn't stock spare parts for their monitors you will probably need to replace the whole monitor. HP only does full unit replacements on their LCD monitor range.

HP also doesn't provide any electronic schematics so getting it repaired will be difficult.
