A lot of times when that problem happens, its most likely not the lamp, when the lamp is the issue you can still hear a sound on your TV but no picture, most likely where looking at a problem with your power supply board or ballast, there might be something wrong with them that keeps from sending voltage to the lamp and audio parts, but on the other hand if you wish to change your lamp, depending on the model it can be on the back or sides of the TV, there is a little door with 4 screws that leads to the housing where the lamp is, you just need to pull out the housing and take it apart, its a actually a very easy task, you can have it done in like 5 min. an easier way is to purchase the whole lamp with the housing and just pull the old one and insert the new one in, less than 5 min!! If you have any other question don't hesitate on asking.

A common problem with this particular model is capacitor c514 tends to over heat and fry out. if you look at your board in the back of the tv it might even be charred a little. its a 390 micro-farad 2000V blue cap.
and the transistor mounted on the heat-sink next to it labeled "D2348", also goes bad. Replace those 2 components and it'll solve your problem.
I am not responsible for any damage done to your tv or if you get shocked. These repairs should be made by someone with experience or a tech.
hope that helps.
If adjustments didn't work, try checking the supply volts to the convergence board. I have come across some with overheated low ohm (typically 4 ohms) in approx 24v supply line.(Look for a burnt resistor or PCB). If it has volts one side, and none on the other, it's open circuit.

There is no Lamp in a KP-53S65. You could have a bad High Voltage Transformer (flyback) or just replace the Power/Deflection Board.
