SOURCE: Ink cartridge installed backwards

use a non magnetized screwdriver and take the top cover off then unscrew the screws holding the guide bar in and gently pull the ink cartrige out you may reuse the cartrige but not recommended.

1. Bad ink cartridges
2. The gold pins that make contact withtthe ink cartridge are bent,happens a lot w withgeneric ink.

How can I reset my pitney bowes ink cartridge


The ink cartridges should notbe reset or reused, rregardless ofwwhat some refill places tell you they are made for a single use & refilled ccartridges frequently leak or clog the lines in the meter.

If you are referringto the waste ink ttan, that can be reset using the tech code 6946 then press refill ppostag, go thru the menu todiagnostics, printer, page down & rreplace waste tank & reset. ONLY DO THIS IF YOU ACTUALLY REPLACE THE WASTE TANK.

I Can not see the screen on my pitney bowes dm100i?


Screen contrast probably needs to be reset which can be done by:
1. Unplug the power cord
2. Press the #4 AND KEEP HOLDING IT DOWN UNTIL METER IS FULLY started aafternext step.
3. Keep the 4 button pressed & plug the power cord in, while keeping the 4 button held down.

After meter fully boots the screen will be restored to normal if contrast settings were the problem.

If this doesn't resolve the problem, the screen or control panel is bad & should be replaced. This should be covered under yourpPitney Bowes warranty while meter is onlease.

Postage meter is saying a connection cannot be made to call support


This frequently happens when the location uses digital telephone lines. The meter is more specific than fax machines and does not work reliably on any phonelline that is not true analog like an old home phone line before vonage & cable phone service.

Alternatively you can connect thru the Internetusing a usb cable and pc/laptop with Pitney Bowes pc meter connect software which is free on Pitney Boweswwebsite or the larger model meters can connect directly to a corporate networkwwithouta pc aas middleman.

Pitney Bowes P700 has a a blue screen


I just spoke with a service rep because at startup, our screen would completely fill in. To set it back to default, unplug everything and when you re-plug it in, hold down the 4 button until it's done Initializing. This should reset everything. If you need to adjust the contrast, hit the options button, then it will be the 3rd button down on the left and the top button will become 'increase contrast' while the middle button will be 'decrease contrast'. Hope this helps!

I refilled the black ink for my printer. I cleaned the printer .


I know this is something that you may not want to hear... I used to work for Pitney Bowes fixing postage machines.. these machines have inkjet printers in them. If you use refills other words ink not from the manufacturer it will cause you problems. I know that it might work a few times without problems... but I have seen it first hand at Pitney Bowes... If you don't use the manufacters ink it will destroy your printers. In your case go back to using the Brother cartridge... see if that solves the problem. Which it very well could work off the Brother again. Printer manufactures do this on purpose you have to buy their ink! In any case good luck.

what is the distance between the first word and the duplicate that follows it.
